The butler let me in immediately. Bruce was right behind him and looked at me with concern. "Your ear was bleeding?" I brought my hand up and didn't feel anything. The wind must have dried it up. I looked in a mirror and saw what he meant. "Sit down, let me clean it up." I did as fast as I could.
Once I sat down, I took my hair clip out and used Bluetooth to transfer all the images to the computer. Unlike all the other times I've done this, nothing showed up. "Fucking God, man. I knew something was up." Bruce looked at me with a weird expression on his face and I stood up, pacing. "The women used something to block out and kill all devices I was using. I don't know how to describe it. She cleared all my shit. I'm telling you, it was her." The butler came in and gave me some water and I gulped it all as soon as I got it.
Bruce stood up and checked for any other spots that could have blood and proceeded to use a light to check my vision. "You're going to have to get a new ear piece and lenses. Alfred can get you both by tomorrow. We just can't have the chances of her getting into anything and listening to us." I nodded and took it on, throwing it on the ground and stomping on it. Then I took my lenses and put them in water; they dissolve once put in water.
I went behind the bar and grabbed some whiskey and two cups before walking to the stool with Bruce. "She's skilled. Oh, and mixed by the way. A very dark brown colour in her hair, not black. I'm going to say that she's probably alone because she didn't even wave at anyone. She know her way down these streets, though." Bruce nodded and Alfred came in.
"Would you be able to give a good enough description that I could draw her down and we can see what you see?" I nodded and he got out a pencil and paper.
I've got to say, this butler is an amazing artist. "Yeah, that is pretty spot on. Would we be able to scan that and see if we can find any type of matching person?" Bruce nodded and grabbed the photo, rushing towards the Batcave with me behind him.
When we were in, he placed it in a scanner and waited for the computer to run through faces. "You've never told anyone where the Batcave is. Thanks for that." I shrugged and the computer made a sound.
"How does she not exist?! I'm telling you that's the lady that I saw. I'm not playing around for fucks sake!" I almost hit the computer but I know it isn't mine and I'm trying to be an ally of his.
"She's got herself out of the system pretty well. If she's alone, she knows exactly what she's doing. Someone has trained her." I nodded in agreement and started to walk off. "Where are you going, Maya?" Well, away from you because you're getting too close to me.
I wasn't going to say that though. "I've got a man-child at home to take care of." He nodded and I ran out and to my motorcycle, ready to go home.
"Hey baby. Why are you up?" I gave him a kiss and set down some Chinese that I bought on the way home. The henchmen were nowhere in site and I wanted to yell at J for letting them leave.
He opened the Chinese bag and got out his food and sat down on the couch. "I needed to have something to drink. You did a great job at stitching by the way. I feel great." I could tell that he was lying because I saw my stitching job and I could do better. I accepted it with a smile either way and took my pants off, wanting to be comfortable in the house.
I got my food and sat down next to him, laying my legs on his lap and he used them as a table. "I was going to get mad that you made the boys leave but I'm a little happy that we could finally be alone." He nodded and didn't say anything. Typical him, honestly. He can be really sweet and then he can be really dismissive. I'm with an insane killer so I take what I can get and when I can get it. I know he loves me because I'm still alive and the way he treats me.
I got up, feeling full and started walking off. Right as I past J, he smacked my ass and winked at me. "I was really starting to wonder if you were okay, J. You haven't said much since I walked in." I put my stuff in the fridge and watched as J came in, doing the same thing.
"Well, I was just shot. I also hear that my city is in ruins and I can't do anything about it. Not much fun to just sit around and not kill and let people know what's up." I nodded, understanding his words.
I went over to him, hugging him and scratching lightly on his back. I felt his chill bumps and smiled. "Trust me, I've got it all under control." He kissed me, biting my lip and groaning just once and pulled away. "All you got to do is relax. Maybe you don't remember that I am the Queen of Gotham." I told him and he pulled me closer to him, holding me tightly.
His lips crashed into mine and my hands went to his hair, pulling lightly. I was picked up and put onto the counter and we pulled away, breathing heavily and looking at each other. J kissed me once more and then whispered into my ear. "Oh, yes you are. My Queen and the Queen of Gotham. Don't you just love the sound of that? I was the King for so long, lost without someone else in charge." He kissed me again, rough and sexy. "Now I have exactly what I needed. Someone who can't be controlled by others and lives long and well with her King." Another kiss, longer and sexier. My whole body was exploding with want and need for him. "We might as well be married." One last kiss, soft and sweet. Then he walks away.
'Might as well be married.' What the fuck man? I mean, he isn't wrong. If that's how he feels, though, why hasn't he proposed? Why aren't we actually married? Is it because it's just not him? If it wasn't something he wanted, I feel like he wouldn't have even brought it up. He did bring it up, though. I like that he did, too. I want us to be together forever. Roaming the streets, walking Death by a leash and terrorizing the citizens. Gotham ours and no one else's. All topped with a diamond ring. That's the perfect thought.
I don't get everything I want, though. So I decided to leave it be and I got off of the counter. He knows exactly what he's done and I know he wants me just as much as I want him because he's got a huge hard on.
Laughing, I sat next to him on the couch. He's always searching for the news and I find that so weird. Why not watch something else, bud. Let's watch Criminal Minds or something funny. But no, that won't ever happen unless I'm already watching it.
"We have a God in the streets of Gotham. Another criminal faces Hell tonight after The Reaper takes another insane murderers life." The anchorman laughed at what she said and Joker sat forward to listen. "Yeah it's fun and games till you get a bit of your own medicine. But should we be scared? I mean.... fighting murderers with murder? We don't even know who this vigilante is. We could have a killer roaming the streets, walking next to our children. Does that not bother anyone even a little bit?" I laughed at this. It should bother everyone. It doesn't though and even I know that.
The other lady shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know, Mark. I'd rather have something done than having my kid standing next to a cold hearted pyscho maniac like The Joker and his love playboy. They've kept pretty low. Maybe they're already dead." I grew angry as they laughed and Joker stood up angrily.
"Tomorrow, we are robbing a jewelry store and I'm getting you a ring. Until then, I'm going to the room. I'd like to be alone tonight." I didn't even get to say anything before he stormed off.
I stayed here, kind of in disbelief and kind of pissed of with a bit of joy. Maybe this does mean he wants to get married? I honestly don't know. Although, at the same time, he can't just be so dismissive right after he tells me that. Now I'm left confused with no answers and I don't want to sleep alone.
Not only that, but knowing that someone is bound to know where I live, we could die. This is our safe spot. I don't want to die yet, I've got no ring on my hand. So, I called Ralph and the boys to get here. I'll need to be protected and so does J. He probably won't be able to protect himself.
