[Mark's PoV]

We were in the ambulance, on the way to hospital and Kiera was bleeding badly.

Kiera was whimpering. "Hang in there," I said to her as I was worried.

A few minutes had passed and we were not even close to the hospital. I observed Kiera as she kept on whimpering. I became even more worried as she kept on losing more blood.

"Is the hospital that far?" I asked the driver.

"We're almost there,"he answered.

"Okay, please hurry up, I think she's losing too much blood by now," I pointed out.

I glanced at Kiera again and she was not moving. Panic started to rise in me as I shook her body gently. "Kiera? Hey, are you alright?" I called but she was not responding.

I almost cursed. "Can't we be any faster? She's losing blood like a lot," I said, trying to calm myself down.

--

I waited outside as Kiera was being treated. I wandered around the hospital, hoping that nothing worse will happen to her.

Just then a doctor came out of the room.

"Doctor, is she alright?" I asked.

"She's okay for now but she is not conscious yet," the doctor explained.

"Okay, thank you doctor." I instantly went into the room.

I could she Kiera who was on the bed. She looked pale. I then waited for her to wake up.

About 30 minutes after, I became so worried as she was not waking up.

I waited again for another 30 minutes and as I was about to go to the toilet my name was called.

"Kiera?" I said, turning around.

She was awake now but she looked tired. I instantly went beside her bed.

"Are you feeling okay?" I asked.

"Just a little dizzy," she said, blinking her eyes a few time.

"Just rest for now." I said.

"Mark?" Kiera called. "I think I need to go to the toilet."

I helped her sit up on her bed. I then carefully helped her climb of the bed. She whimpered and It worried me. "Slowly," I said.

She moved a little bit more and I could see that she was in so much pain. Without hesitation, I instantly carried her and brought her to the toilet.

"Thanks, Mark."

"You think you can go alone? Or I can call a nurse to accompany you or something."

"I'm fine, Mark."

I nodded as she went into the toilet. Maybe I'm worrying too much.

Once she was done, I helped her walk to her bed. It was once again a problem for her to climb back up on the bed.

"Hold on," I said as I was about to carry her again.

She stepped backwards. "Mark, it's okay, I can do it."

"Just let me help you," I said. I then carried her onto the bed.

She then laid down and closed her eyes to rest.

"Are you sleeping?" I asked.

"Nope," she answered.

I then stood at the corner of the room, biting my nails in worry. It hurt me how Kiera got hurt.

"Look," I started.

She opened her eyes.

"I told you not to walk so quickly, it was dark out there! Worse things can happen you know?!"I pointed out, unconsciously raising my voice.

I realised what I just did when I saw Kiera's horrified face.

I sighed. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell at you. I just can't see you in so much pain like this. I'm your friend and yet I could do nothing for you. I'm such a failure."

[Kiera's PoV]

I was speechless, no one was ever this worried about me. I didn't know what to say.
