"Come and have lunch with us," I offered.

"It's okay, I'm still quite full now,"he said.

"Alright," I replied.

He smiled at me before he closed the door in front of my face. I bit my lower lip and left his room with a sour face.

I am sure most people have experienced that feeling when you cooked but no one wants to eat it. I just felt quite taken aback. Though sometimes you can not do anything about it since they're already full. I never minded though, but this case was different. It was because I knew that he was full because he had eaten lunch with that girl.

I entered the kitchen with my sour face without noticing that my grandmother had been observing me.

"Bad day?" she asked.

"It's nothing," I lied. I grabbed a few bowls and filled them with rice for my grandparents.

Once I was done, I placed the bowls on the dining table and took a seat across from Grandma who was browsing through a magazine.

"Where's Grandpa?"I asked.

"Oh, he went to take a nap as soon as we arrived,"she answered while she was still looking down at the magazine. When she looked up, she raised her eyebrows as she saw a bowl of rice in front of her. "Sorry, Kiera, I already ate at Grandpa's friend's place."

I tried to remain emotionless although I was seriously taken aback. "Oh, okay." It hurt me how no one wanted to eat what I cooked. I had waited for a few hours just to eat together with everyone but all of them had eaten without me. I was not angry but I was just a little bit sad about it.

I stood up and placed the rice back into the rice cooker, leaving a bowl for me to eat. At the same time, Grandma stood up from her seat and left while Mark was entering he kitchen.

"Hey, Kiera," Mark greeted.

"Hey," I answered with a weak smile. "What brings you here?"

"I wanna eat," he answered.

"I thought you said you were full."

"I was but not anymore."

I squinted my eyes at him.

"What you don't wanna give me food?" he pouted.

I chukled. "Alright, alright." I refilled a bowl with rice and gently placed it on the table in front of him.

"Thanks," he said while he smiled with his eyes closed. He's such a funny and cute person. I can never get enough of him.

"You're welcome, "I replied and took the seat across from him.

"Kiera, you wanna go out with with me tomorrow?" he asked.

"Hmm, let me think," I said. Well, if he's gonna be going with that girl again and ditch me just like what he did at the ice cream restaurant then nevermind. "I don't think so. I'm too lazy to go out."

"Okay, then."

Flashback
[Mark's PoV]

"Kiera, did you cook lunch?" I heard Kiera's grandmother shouted from the kitchen. I was lying down in my room, almost falling asleep.

"Yes!" I heard Kiera answered.

"Call your friend to eat along with us!" her grandmother shouted again.

"Okay!"Kiera replied.
