It was raining outside. The roads were a bit slippery with rainwater which fell in droplets. It was dark this late at night and it was cold as autumn was approaching.

Notes, papers and books covered all over Kiera's table, with only her table lamp as a source of light. She had not not turned on the lights in her room because her grandparents would be angry if they knew that she was still awake.

Sneezing, Kiera quickly covered her nose with the weary tissue that she had been holding in her sweaty palms. The ink of her blue pen continued to colour the paper placed in front of her as she scribbled extra notes down.

A faint but visible lightning flashed though her white curtains but she did not tranferred her attention away from the white thin paper in front of her. All she could think about was the exam.

Kiera then leaned back while stretching her neck as her alarm clock clicked at 1am. Hot blood trickled down her nose. She quickly pulled out a ply of tissue from her pink tissue box and was about to take another piece before she realised that she had run out of them. She sighed and rushed to the toilet. As soon as she stood up, she felt dizzy.

She looked at her messy table after she went out from the toilet and decided to continue revising the next day. She closed her books and went to her bed. Without thinking about anything at all, she fell asleep with her table lamp still turned on.
