Is he really ignoring me? Kiera thought. Mark had not replied her text. For the second time today, Kiera shrugged her thoughts off because she wanted to believe that maybe he was too busy and that by now, he might already be asleep.

Laid on her bed, Kiera thought about everything that had happened. She had been having a hard time sleeping these past few days after she accidentally confessed to Mark that day.

For over an hour, she tossed and turned, unable to sleep. She was wondering if maybe, just maybe, he was still awake thinking about her too. At least she wished he was.

[Kiera's PoV]

I woke up too early today. It was my first day in school and I was excited. It was a new start for me. I was finally opening a new and fresh page of my life. After all the hurt and pain that I have went through until now, I was finally stepping into a new phase in my life which I hope is where I will start to seek my own happiness.

It didn't take me much time to get ready as I have prepared almost everything last night. I had another hour to spare before school started.

I slowly walked to the bus stop, enjoying the cold morning breeze. It's been awhile since I was out at this hour.

At the bus stop, there was a girl who was wearing the same uniform as me. I took a seat while fetching out my phone from my pocket. I was not confident of approaching that girl first.

Just then, the girl took a seat next to me and tapped on my shoulder. "Hey, this is my first time seeing you here!" the girl said.

"Yeah, it's my first day in school. What year are you in?"I asked.

"I'm in my last year, how about you?"

"Me too."

"Cool. It's nice to meet you. By the way, I'm Baek Haeun, let's be friends!" she introduced herself while stretching out her right hand.

"Sure. I'm Kiera Han Chaerin, just call me Kiera," I said and shook hands with her.

"Oh, I'm guessing you're half American?"

I nodded.

"I'll just call you Chaerin. I'm not good in english pronounciations," Haeun said. "May I?"

I chuckled. "Sure. I don't mind."

Just then, I could the drone of an engine. "Oh, the bus is here," Haeun pointed out. She glanced around, looking for something, or someone. "I wonder what's taking him so long. I guess he's late again today. Let's just go without him."

"Who are you searching for?"I questioned.

"My friend, Hyunjin. Let's just go now or we'll miss the bus." Haeun pulled my hand and lead me into the bus. I smiled because I have just made friends with a person like Haeun. I really like her personality. I hope we're gonna be classmates.

"Is it okay to leave him?" I asked.

"I leave him sometimes because he wakes up late most of the time."

All the way to school, we talked and it felt good that finally I have a girl friend.

"Your class will be in 3-A," the administrator said.

A student representative who I have not realised sitting at the corner of the room stood up. "I'll show you the way."

I nodded and followed her lead. While we were on our way to my class, there were a few corridors that we had to turn into but luckily it was too complicated.
