My weekend was mostly filled with sitting hours on the sofa while watching dramas if I wasn't helping my grandparents at the restaurant. It was even worse with the fact that I have not seen Mark for two days. He was too busy that we could only exchange short text messages. Even though I tried to call him or video called him, we could only talk in a short time since he's already tired when he gets back from work. I feel bad for him that he still has work even on the weekends.

The boring weekend I had was finally over and tomorrow was Monday which means that it's school time. Usually, Mondays are the worst but I can't wait for tomorrow. Although I'm not too fond of going school due to my ex-boyfriend's presence, it was much better than spending my weekend mostly at home doing nothing.

For the second day of school, I walked to the bus stop just like I had on my first. Though this time, Hyunjin wasn't late.

"The bus is here!" Haeun pointed out and without another word, we got in the bus.

Along the way, we didn't say a word because both Haeun and Hyunjin were busy reading their notes for a test. I didn't have any since I didn't take the same subject as them.

Once we had arrived in school, we went to our homeroon and took our attendance. After, we had to go to our separate classes since we had different subjects for our first class. I let out a heavy sighed as soon as I entered my class. I guess Mondays are really days of bad luck because Kim DongHyun was sitting in front of the only empty seat. In other words, I would have to sit behind him.

Pretending as if I hadn't realised he was there, I didn't drop my head down. I dashed to my seat and took out my notebook.

I glanced the black clock which was hanged at the wall infront. There was five minutes left before class started and as much as I hate it to happen, Kim DongHyun turned his chair around to face me.

I pretended to write on my notebook, hoping that he would leave me alone. Although, he did not.

"Hey," he started. As if we were close friends.

I looked up from my notebook. "What do you want?" I said, sternly.

"Nothing. I only said hi. You don't have to be that serious. Geez."

"I'm sorry but I would like it if you don't bother me anymore."

"I'm not bothering you. Why are you saying as if I really am? It's not like I can just act like I don't know you because I'm pretty sure that we know each other too well." Before I could get back at him, our teacher was already here.

During lunch, I was so glad that I get to see Hyunjin and Haeun again. Though, there were still faint whispers everywhere I go.

"I've been wanting to say this to you since morning but I was too busy worrying about the test. You look better today despite them still talking bad about you,"Hyunjin pointed out.

Haeun nodded, showing that she agreed with Hyunjin. "Did something great happened during the weekend?" she questioned.

"Not really. I did basically nothing,"I replied.

"What? Me too," Haeun said.

"Not for me. I got to play video games," Hyunjin said.

Haeun and I looked at each other and we shook our head. Boys with their video games. Tsk tsk.

"Guys, I just don't get why they're still talking about me behind my back. In addition, what they've heard about me are just rumours,"I wondered.

"Hey, if you're having a hard time about it, you should tell us. I'm sure it's just that your life is too interesting they can't stop themselves from talking about it,"Haeun adviced.

"True, and we'll always be here for you,"Hyunjin added.

I smiled because I knew that I couldn't have better friends than them.

After we were dismissed from our classes that afternoon, Haeun and I headed to the library. She had offered to help me with the lessons I have missed since I transferred to the school almost at the end of the term. Luckily, it was not much different from what I have learnt in my school in America. Though, there were some topics that I haven't been taught before.

The next day, I also spent time with Haeun in the afternoon. I wanted to work hard and get excellent grades for my finals before I graduate.

We had agreed to make Wednesday afternoons our free time from studying and finally that afternoon I had time to spend with Mark.

--

"Hi, Mark. I missed you,"I started and hugged him.

He hugged me back. "I missed you too. It's making me crazy that we can hardly meet. Just why do we have alternating busy schedules."

"I know right. I've been busy with my studies and you've been busy with your tour."

"Maybe the world has something against us because when I'm free, you're either in school or studying. When you're free, I have endless schedules."

We giggled at the reality. Just then, Mark's phone rang.

"I guess you have to go now?" I asked, feeling upset.

"Yeah, we're recording a television program in a few hours. Too bad we could only see each other for a few minutes."

"I'm glad that at least I get to see you. You should go now. Goodbye!" I waved.

Starting from that week, I always spent two hours either in the library or at Haeun's house. She was very patient with me. I like her.

Though some of my afternoons, I spent them with my teacher since I had a subject that I take which was different from Haeun's.

Also from that day on, I could hardly meet Mark. Though I believe my business and hard work now will pay off after finals.
