I have locked myself in my room since last night. As soon as I saw my grandparents walking down the road in the direction of the restaurant, I finally stepped out of the room.

I rumagged through the cabinet for food as I was famished and thought about Mark once I was full. I missed him already.

I turned the door knob to my bedroom and hopped onto my bed while grabbing my phone which was placed on the bedside table.

I dialed his number and my heartbeat raced as it started to ring. By the second ring, Mark had answered my call.

"Hey, princess. What's up? You've never called me this early," he started with his hoarse morning voice which followed with a small giggle. All I could feel was the leaping sound of my heart.

"Morning! I just kinda missed you," I laughed.

"Aww, I actually miss you too. By the way, did you have a good rest last night? Oh and how were your grandparents? What did they say about me? Is there anything that they find bothering about me?" he asked.

"Yeah I did get a good sleep and don't worry, you were perfect," I answered hesitantly. He doesn't have to know.

"Okay then, that's a relieve because somehow I felt this weird tension from your grandmother," Mark suspected.

"Well, she didn't really said anything that shows she was bothered by you but hey, like no news is good news,"I explained, trying to make him feel good.

"Hmm, alright." I could hear the anxiousness in his voice.

"Don't worry," I chuckled. "I actually find it a bit troublesome because like we just started dating and it seemed like my grandparents are thinking that we're planning to get married soon, don't you think so?"

Mark laughed. "Well, at least not yet, I guess."

I paused and laughed after a few seconds. "What was that?" I chuckled. "Anyway, I really wanna see you. Want to go out and maybe jog together?" I questioned while smiling widely because I was excited to see him again.

"It sounds great but I'm quite scared that the same thing's gonna happen again. Just like what happened to you while we were walking around the neighbourhood," Mark explained.

"I'll be fine. He was arrested already," I reminded him.

"I don't know, I don't think I can bear it if what had happened repeats."

"How about we jog at the park, a lot of people will be there so it's going to be safer. And, I'll make sure that I'm constantly glued in front of your eyes, okay?"

"Hmm, give me a few seconds to think," he said and there was a short pause. "Alright then let's head out but I'll pick you up and let's be careful okay? I don't think I can handle it if I lost you again."

As soon as I got in Mark's car, I hugged him before he could even say anything.

"Morning, is there something going on?" Mark started while looking at me curiously.

"Nope. I just missed you this much."

He chuckled. "Okay then." He hugged me back and placed his chin on my right shoulder. "I missed you too."

After a moment we let go of each other. I put on my seatbelt on and we were set to go.

I was smiling. I was happy. Mark was smiling, is what i saw from the rearview mirror. I turned to look at him but he didn't realised since he was busy looking at the road in front of him and as I stared at him, I could feel a twinging feeling in my heart and thought silently, 'Should I really break up with him?'
