Mark and I were by the Han River. He just came back after touring in Asia this morning and had to go to a television program for a recording as soon as the group arrived.

I brought along with me some Kimbap which I kept in a lunchbox. I opened the lid and offered it to Mark.

"No thanks,"he said.

"Okay. Did you have dinner before you came here? Because I haven't so I am seriously hungry."

"Mhm," he replied. There was a tingling feeling in me that something was not right. He was being too quiet. I stared at him but he only looked at the river. I could only see his expression from his eyes since he was wearing a face mask as a disguise. Luckily, not that many people were around.

I shrugged off my thoughts and continued to munch on my food. "By the way, finals are next week and my first subject is Biology. I'm scared. Well, it's my favourite subject and Biology is my best but I'm worried I'll do bad."

Mark only nodded. He wouldn't even look at me while I talked. I pulled on his arm gently, trying to make him look at me but his reaction shocked me. "Don't touch me."

I gasped. I was seriously offended. "Mark, what's wrong?" I asked. I pulled his right arm again but gentlier this time. He instantly pulled his hands away from me.

"I said don't touch me!" he growled, finally looking at me but with a fierce look in his eyes. I backed away from him. I was extremely surprised and I felt offended. I was angry at the same time.

I lifted my hands in the air. "Okay, I won't. At least tell me what's wrong."

Mark let out a heavy breath. "Why is it even important for you to know? I'm just tired, okay?" he growled, although a bit softer this time.

Is he serious? So he thinks I'm a nobody to know? "You're tired of me?" I challanged. I was furious with his attitude.

Mark looked at me for a second and then looked away. "You don't understand. I didn't mean it that way."

"Well, if I'm mistaken, then explain to me clearly!" It was my turn to be mad.

Mark stood up and walked nearer to the river. He was leaning on the railing, looking down in the river.

"You don't want to talk? Fine, that's it! I'm out if here." In anger, I quickly picked up my belongings and dashed to a taxi. Before I got in, I glanced behind but Mark still haven't moved an inch. He was still leaning on the railing.

I quickly got into the taxi and asked the driver to drive me home as fast as he could.
--

That night, I had a hard time sleeping. I just couldn't understand why he had to treat me like that. Did I even do anything wrong? I don't think so. Even if I did, he should tell me. Don't just treat my like rubbish.

Maybe, just maybe, this fight wasn't entirely his fault. He just came after a busy day. He must've been tired. I glanced at the watch and it was already midnight. He must've went to bed. I'll call him tomorrow.

-

I was in the kitchen when my phone rang. It was Mark.

"Hey, Kiera. I need to talk to you. Let's meet."

"I was about to call you too. I'll see you in half an hour."

--

We were at the Han River again. We were facing each other.

"I'm sorry about yesterday. I should've considered what you were going through. You were tired but I wasn't being considerate about it,"I started.

Mark shook his head. "No. I'm sorry. I know I was tired but I shouldn't be such a jerk toward you. I wasn't thinking well and I regretted my actions yesterday."

I smiled at him. "I'm glad that we're together again today."

"Me too," he said and embraced me in his arms. I hugged him back, enjoying the wonderful smell of his perfume.

Once we let go of each other, we held hands. "Wanna go somewhere?" he asked.

--

We were at the the amusement park and our first ride was the roller coaster. My heartbeat accelerated as the roller coaster went up slowly. I was busy worrying while Mark got his phone out.

We took a selca on the way up. I was sure I looked awful due to my scared face.

Once the ride was over we ran to the pirate ship. It was a long line alright.

"Weren't you scared just now? It was pretty high up."

"Not really," I answered. "I closed my eyes the whole time," I chuckled.

After a few minutes, it was finally our turn. I am honestly not much of a fan of this ride but the thrill of it is inescapable.

I was holding onto Mark all through the ride since I was truly scared. I could really feel the thrill of it through my spine.

As soon as the ride was done, I went to a nearby tree. I panted as I felt like puking. "That was scary," I said.

Mark, who was suspiciously quiet after the ride, stood even closer to me as soon as I stood back up straight. He pulled the mask that he was wearing down and leaned in closer. I stepped back and my back was already touching the tree.

He was only a few inches away until he finally closed his eyes. Before he could kiss me, I quickly pulled his mask back up.

"Hey!" he argued.

"You shouldn't risk getting recognised. Luckily no one could see us," I chukled. I skipped away from the tree but Mark was still standing at the same spot. Both his arms were at his hips.

"Come on! There are more rides to try!" I cried and excitedly pulled him to another ride.

--

It was a great afternoon and I was happy. Mark brought me home again.

"Thanks again for today. I really enjoyed it," I thanked him.

"You're welcome. I really love the fact that I spent my free time with you, beautiful." He winked. I couldn't help but blush.

--

I went into the house to find Grandma peeking out the window.

"Grandma! You startled me."

Grandma gave me a goofy smile. "Who was that?"

"A friend."

"That's it? Boring."

"Okay, he's my boyfriend." I hope Grandma's not gonna scold me for having a boyfriend.

"If that's true then I would like to meet him,"she said and went into the kitchen.

Is this for real?
