십구 | NINETEEN

Two days had passed since I last met Mark. It's not that I was ignoring him but I just didn't want to disturb him since he said he's going to be busy until the end of the week.

Although, somehow I feel like he's the one who's ignoring me. It just feels weird that he didn't even said hello through text. Well, what do I expect?

After hesitating for a few hours I have finally decided to text Mark first.

Hey Mark
It's been a while since we last talked to each other
How's everything?

I got upset when he didn't reply straight away. Maybe he really is busy.

An hour later my phone vibrated to an incoming message.

Oh hey there!
Everything's doing fine
Btw, sorry for the late reply
I was busy

Kiera
Good to hear
Nahh, it's okay
Oh right, I'm going to school tomorrow
and i feel so nervous right now

Mark
Don't be

Kiera
Don't be?
That's it?
You don't have any words to say to your friend who's going to school tomorrow?

He didn't reply after that. I waited for a few minutes but he still didn't reply though I was well aware that he had read my text.

Is he really busy or is he just ignoring me?

[Mark's PoV]

"Why are you not replying?"said a sudden voice behind me. I turned around to find that it was Jinyoung who was standing behind the couch I was sitting on.

"Gosh you shocked me," I said and returned my attention back to my phone.

Jinyoung then took a seat beside me, leaning in closer toward my phone.

Only after a few seconds did I realise what he was trying to do. I quickly put my phone away to my right so that he couldn't read the texts. "Since when were you looking?"

"Since 'btw sorry for the late reply. I was busy'. Yeah right, you're busy. You've been laying on this couch for hours and you've been watching random movies since morning," Jinyoung pointed out.

I sighed. "It's not like I meant to lie to her."

Jinyoung stared at me for a few seconds until he laughed. "Okay, Mark hyung. Can you tell me why you're trying to ignore her? Did you guys had a fight? Wait no, it didn't seem that way."

"We didn't fought. It was something even heavier to bear," I explained.

"Then, what are you waiting for? Spit it out. It's just me here," Jinyoung said.

I took a deep breath and then exhaled. "Actually, Kiera confessed to me not long ago. I didn't mean to ignore her and stuff but I just don't know how to act around her now that I know how she feels about me."

"Just act like yourself," Jinyoung casually said.

"That's easy to say but-,"I exhaled loudly. "I just don't know what's wrong with me."

"No. I'm sure you know why you're being like that because I know. And you know what, it's funny that you're so anxious when she's the one who confessed. Not you. But there's no explaination needed because I am well aware of what is happening."

"You don't know what I'm thinking about," I said.

"Maybe I don't know everything but I'm sure it's because you wanna confess to her that you like her too but I don't know what's stopping you to do so."

I laughed. "What do you mean? You're so funny."

"Oh come on, you don't have to be shy about it. I knew that you like her too. And I'm sure it's not just recently,"smirked Jinyoung.

"Was I that obvious?"I asked.

Jinyoung nodded. "Very. The way you look at her itself is different. It was clear to me that you liked her. Like how worried to death you were when Kiera got kidnapped. Also, at Hallim Park, Kiera was talking to BamBam that day and you kept on asking her to do things for you to drive her attention away from BamBam. It was too obvious that you were jealous. It was not just me who noticed but Jaebum hyung as well. You kept on telling unnecessary reasons of why Kiera shouldn't be standing so close to BamBam when they're not even standing that close to each other. Also, when Kiera said that she was tired, you asked everyone to rest for awhile."

I was speechless. "You guys noticed? Now I'm embarassed but I'm quite worried to confess to her even though I am very certain about my feelings."

Jinyoung chuckled. "Come on. Let's be serious. Is it because you don't know how? Tell me."

"Rather than I don't know how, it's more like I'm scared. Of getting rejected. I'm not so sure actually but I'm just scared," I explained.

Jinyoung adjusted his sitting position so that he was facing me. "Why are you scared that she'll reject you? I thought you said she already told you that she likes you."

"Yeah she did but she asked me to forget about it because she said she wasn't in her right mind that time. Like what if she didn't really mean it."

"Well, I actually think she mean it. Although it might be hard to convince you at this time since you're mind is so full of thoughts, I have something to say to you. Don't even think about getting rejected or you'll never get yourself to confess to her. Think this way; why wouldn't somebody want to know that they are liked and appreciated by another person? In addition, you're an idol! Who doesn't want to date an idol? Also as a bonus, you're her favourite in the group."

"Now that you're telling me this, I feel positive about it. I think I'm less worried to confess to Kiera now. By the way, since when were you a love expert? Do you have someone in mind?" I smirked at Jinyoung.

He laughed out loud and shook his head. "I just finished watching a romance drama this morning to the point that sweet words just come out of my mouth like a flowing river."

We looked at each other and laughed even harder.
