Lover | 3 [Mark Got7]

이십육 | TWENTY SIX

The doorbell rang indicating that the time has come. I dashed to the front door and turned the knob. Mark was standing on the porch, obviously nervous about meeting my grandparents.

"Hey," he smiled.

"Come in," I said and lead him to the living room. Grandma and Grandpa were still in their room. Mark took a seat beside me.

Mark leaned in closer to my ears. "You have no idea how nervous I am," he whispered followed by a nervous laugh.

I giggled at his nervousness. I have to say that it's cute. "It's gonna be fine. You already know them anyway," I said. "By the way, can I see the pictures that we took at the amusement park?"

"Sure," he replied while taking out his phone from the back pocket of his jeans.

The first picture shown on the screen was the one he took while we were on the roller coaster. I gasped in shock.

"Why do you still keep this picture? I look so ugly! Please delete them," I frowned while clutching Mark's phone in my hand.

"What? They're pretty. I'll stare at these pictures whenever I miss you," he reasoned as he giggled. Quickly, Mark snatched his phone away and raised it high above his head, using the advantage of his height.

"Mark!" I pouted and tried to reach the phone in his hand. I stood on my toes just to get the phone but instead, I lost my balance, causing Mark to fall after me on the sofa.

Mark was on top of me and we stared at each other. His face was only inches away from mine. After a few seconds passed, we laughed, still staring at each other.

[Third Person]

From the wary, silent house, the creak of a door was heard, followed by heavy footsteps.

Mark and Kiera instantly got up from their position earlier. They panicked to the point that they had not realised that they were sitting too formally, in a way.

Moreover, Kiera's messy hair attracted her grandmother's attention, causing her grandmother to wonder though she decided to ignore it in the end.

"So, how have you been doing, Mark? It's been awhile," her grandmother started.

"Yes, I've been doing well. I can see that you're all well yourself,"Mark replied.

Both her grandparents continued to ask him questions, some personal, some even the cliché ones but they were kind. 

"Okay, let's not interview him too much. He must be starving," chuckled Kiera's grandfather.

"Oh right, I cooked a lot so you should eat lots," said her grandmother.

"Wow, if it's for me, you won't even cook that much. Probably only give food that are simple and easy to cook," Kiera's grandfather pointed out jokingly.

Once they were seated on the dining table, it was quiet until they started eating. "I knew there was something between you guys that time when we were in Jeju," suspected Kiera's grandfather.

Mark and Kiera looked and each other and grinned.

"This is good," Mark complimented while stuffing more of the food into his mouth.

"Oh, right, before I forget, what do you do for a living?"Kiera's grandmother asked.

"I'm an idol," answered Mark.

I waved him goodbye. I was smilling because the evening went well. Once he was out of my sight, I turned around and was about to head to the kitchen to wash the dishes but Grandma stopped me.

"I need to talk to you. Sit down," she said with a serious tone. I took a seat across from her.

"What is it, Grandma?" I questioned.

"Break up with him."

it feels so good to be back and ik this is way delayed but still happy new year♡ since i havent wished you guys so. ooooh happy late chinese new year for the people who's celebrating!!
