I opened my eyes to see Logan laying next to me.

"Morning Ace." He said with a yawn.

"Morning." I said rolling onto my side from my back. I was nowhere near huge yet but I could no longer lay on my front. "You know what today marks?" I asked him.

"Yeah." He said. "Last official day of the first trimester. Which means we are in the clear to start telling people?" He asked.

"Yes." I said with a small chuckle and rolled out of bed.

I was twelve weeks today. I had just recently started showing. As I stood the t-shirt is was wear laid just right to where you could see my small baby bump.

We were now in our new loft in New York. Logan received the keys just a couple days ago so there were still boxes scattered everywhere, and then...there was Henry. He seemed to go everywhere with Logan. I laughed when I saw him standing in the main room.

"Is that all of the boxes?" Luke asked standing outside by his green pickup with Logan.

It had been a long morning. We had to finish packing up the rest of the boxes and then get everything loaded up before the drive up to New York.

"Yep!" I said walking out with mom. "That's everything."

"This is it!" Mom said. "This is my moment. Luke where's my camera."

"What?! What do you need a camera for? We gotta get on the road if we are gonna get back before dark." Luke snapped at her.

"Come on. It'll only take a minute. " She begged.

"No. We are not doing this again." I said.

"Why not?" She asked.

"Because last time it just looked like I was taking out the trash." I said.

"Well this time there's a truck full of boxes. Now it'll look like your moving for sure." She said back.

"Just get in the truck Lorelai." Luke said opening the passenger side door.

She walked over to the truck, pouting, climbed in and Luke closed the door. "So we'll just follow you two? He asked Logan.

"Yeah. Ill just put it in the GPS and we'll head out. Ready Ace?" He asked wrapping his arm around my waist.

"Yep." I responded.

I opened one of the boxes labeled dishes and pulled out to coffee mugs. We had most of the appliances out already and the bedroom was already set up. I popped one of the K-cups into the Keurig and pressed the start button. Then I grabbed a teabag out of the box next to it a poured hot water over top. I felt Logan come up from behind and wrap his arms around my waist, resting his hands on the baby bump.

"One coffee for you. One tea for me." I said turning in his arms.

"Thanks. So what do you have goin' on today." He asked.

"Well. I have some stuff to work on for the gazette and then I'm gonna start working on that freelance piece for Condi Nast. What about you?" I asked sipping my tea.

"Well I have to go into the office today. Make an appearance, get some work done. You know?" He said finishing his coffee. "I've gotta get ready."

***

After he left for work I took a shower and then got down to business working on the next issue of the gazette. I sat at the desk, that was still sitting in the living room and this point and worked on the paper for what felt like hours. Finally, I stood and stretched deciding it was time for a break.

I walked over to the box that I had opened earlier that morning and started unpacking it, then I heard a knock on the door.

"Loin Fruit! I bring sustenance! Open up!" I could hear mom yell from the  other side of the door.

I walked over and opened the door. There she stood with enough food to feed an army. "How much food did you bring?" I asked her.

"Just all of the essentials." She said moving past be and into the massive space. "It's still covered in boxes." She said looking around.

"Yeah well we've been a little busy." I replied.

"Well it's a good thing I'm here...and it's a good thing I brought all this food." She said back setting everything on the counter.

"So what all did you bring?" I asked making my way over to her.

"Well...we have mini doughnuts, strawberry and brown sugar pop-tarts, burgers from Luke's, Taco's from Paco's, and Chinese from Al's. Oh, and don't forget about the coffee." She finished.

"Aw. My own little food care package." I said sweetly, laughing a little. "But, why are you here mom?" I asked just a tad confused.

"Does a mother need a reason to visit her only daughter." She said pretending to be hurt by my question.

"No. Just surprised is all." I said grabbing one of the coffees off the counter.

"Did you forget your appointment is tomorrow and you said in could stay with you tonight so I don't have to drive into the city tomorrow?" She asked.

I had totally forgot. I had heard of pregnancy brain before. But, this was the first time I had experienced it. "Um...yeah actually. Sorry." I said to her.

"Really?" She said looking slightly confused. "Eh...whatever. I'm here now." She continued gabbing a doughnut out of the package. "Let's get to work."

"Get to work?" No it was my turn to be confused.

"Kid, you've been living in a mess of boxes for a week now. It's time to fix that." She said an walked off.

I smiled grabbing a doughnut and followed behind her.
