True Love And Coffee (A Gilmore Continuation)

Logan:

It had only been a couple of hour since I had left Rory. I had dropped her back off at Lorelai's place and had to get back on a flight to London. Good part was I wasn't going home to Odette, Bad part was Mitchum was probably waiting.

After returning the rental at the airport I finally turned back on my cell phone. Inbox full. Great. I pressed delete all without even listening to them. No doubt the news of the engagement being off had gotten back to him.

"Large Coffee please." I said to the barista.

"Room for cream and sugar sir?" She asked back.

"Um...Yeah sure." I answered her distracted.

"Your coffee will be right out." She finished with a smile and handed me the receipt.

"VENTI COFFEE FOR LOGAN!" Another barista called out at the other end of the counter.

"Thanks." I said grabbing my coffee and then made my way to the boarding gate. It would be time to board soon.

As I walked I thought about what had happened the past couple days.

Not even a week ago I was back in London, planning this sham of a marriage to a woman that I was just settling for to please my family and follow their dynastic plan. Invitation were just about to be sent out. Then Rory called two days ago and turned my world upside down again. She told me she was pregnant, six weeks pregnant. At first I was mad that she had waited so long to tell me. Why didn't she call me when she found out?

"Now boarding flight 591 to London." The attendant called over the intercom. I walked up, passport and ticket in hand, and then continued onto the plane.

Odette had walked in right after I had found out and I had to cut the call short to deal with the news. She could tell something was off. "Logan? Is everything alright?" Odette had asked setting here bags down from her afternoon of shopping.

"I'm going for a walk." I said putting on my coat, ignoring her question.

"Logan...who was that on the phone?" She asked now.

Yet again I ignored her question. I couldn't deal with her right now. "I'll be back in a little while." I said as I walked out the door and closed it.

After everyone was seated the flight attendants went through their rehearsed speech about what to do if anything went wrong during the flight and then we were on our way taxing down the runway and then taking off.

I didn't really know where I was going. I just walked aimlessly around London's version of Central Park for what felt like hours. I sat a watched the children and the families around me. Rory. Rory is pregnant. I still couldn't really believe it fully.

"I told her I would call her back." I said to myself looking down at my phone. "But how do I call her back when I'm still trying to understand myself?" I finished and set my head in my hands.

I thought back to our last night together. That last phone call that made up my mind that I had to go to her. "I guess we are breaking up...but how do we break up when we are nothing at all?" Rory had said. Then I called Finn, Collin and Robert and told them we had to do something. I knew they would be down, not just because of a big production, but because I knew they also love and had the highest respect for her. So we put it together quickly and surprised her with a night to end all nights.

We ended at the Bed and Breakfast, that Collin had bought by morning. I got her a separate room, not really knowing where we stood after that phone call. But she choose to forego that room and join me for what ended up being our final night together, or that's what I thought at the time. A perfect night as she put it. A night full of unconditional and everlasting love. A night that we never imagined would put us here.

I decided. I had to go home and end thing with Odette. I had to go to my Rory, my Ace.

"We are now making our decent into London. If you could now fasten your seatbelt." The Captain said over the intercom.

Well it's almost time to face Mitchum.
