The small of coffee and bacon floated into my bedroom, the good part about being right off the kitchen. I rolled out of my bed and grabbed my robe of the back of my desk chair, slipping it on, and padded into the kitchen. Logan was standing at the stove making pancakes.
"Aw, such a good little housewife." I said laughing.
"Ha ha. Laugh it up Ace." He said filling a mug.
"Oh I will." I said walking over.
"Morning." He said and gave me a quick kiss.
"Morning. How was the flight?" I asked.
"Long." He said putting the cooked pancakes on a plate. "But glad to be here." He said with a smile and a sidelong glance. "Hungry?"
"Starving." I said
"I bet." He said handing me a plate.
I sat at the table a dug right into it.

The past few days went quickly. We sat quietly in the waiting room of the doctors office waiting to be seen. Pregnancy and parenting magazines scattered on different tables throughout the room. Other women were there all at different stages. Logan sat beside me holding my hand. I was kind of surprised at how comfortable he was.
"Rory Gilmore." A young nurse in colorful scrubs called out.
Logan squeezed my hand and grabbing my attention, "Ready?" He asked.
"Ready." I said back and we stood.
"Just you right now ma'am. Your husband can join us in just a bit." She said with a smile.
"Oh...he's not...never mind." I said.
"I'll be right here." He said a he gave me a quick kiss. "See you in a few."
I gave him a small smile and followed the nurse through the hall and into a smaller room that had a table and a computer for the doctor.
"You can have a seat if you'd like." She said.
I sat at the end of the padded table and she went through her list of questions. Do I smoke, Do I drink, Any health problems, Any prior surgeries, etc. Once she was done with her questions she then told me to undress from the waist down, handed me a thin paper blanket and told me the doctor would be in shortly.
"Would you like me to bring your partner back now?" She asked.
"Um...sure. Yeah." I said shaking my head.
"I'll go ahead and get him now. What's his name?" She asked.
"Logan." I responded.
"Ok." She said and walked out of the room.
I sat there in the quiet, sterile room. Naked from the waist down with just the thin paper covering me. I looked around, more parenting magazines and a poster of a baby's growth per month. Holy crap that big baby is supposed to come out after nine months and its gonna be that big. I'm tiny!
"Wow! Now that's quite a look Ace. Very fashion forward." He said laughing at the paper blanket across my lap.
"Logan! Look at that." I said pointing to the poster.
"Yeah." He said.
"Now look at me. I'm supposed to push a nine pound bowling ball out of me in nine months. How am I supposed to do that?!" I said starting to freak out.
"Hey. Calm down." he said pulling the stool in front of me and sitting down. "I'll be here. Through the whole thing."
"Yeah. Do you want to push a bowling ball out of you?" I said to him.
