We woke to the sound of the crashing waves outside our bedroom window. I had left the window open last night because right now I was as got as the human torch from the fantastic four with this baby inside of me. Logan was still asleep next to me, so I was careful climbing out of bed. I wanted to do something for him, something special. He had done so much for me in the past twenty weeks. He left his fiancée, transfer back to New York to be close to us, bought us a three bedroom home, went to every appointment so far, etc. I looked down at him from where I stood on my side of the bed and knew exactly what I was going to do.

I slipped into my old pair of Yale yoga pants. Hm. Snug. It was about time to look at getting some maternity clothes. I had put it off long enough. Anyway, I put on the yoga pants and a long sleeved top, grabbed my phone off the charger and quietly moved out of the bedroom. Out in the living room I pulled on my Converse and wrote a note, just in case Logan woke up while I was out.

Logan,

Went for a walk along the beach and then into town to get some clothes that actually fit. It's time. See you in a bit.

Love, Ace

I walked out the door, locking to behind me and headed down to the sand. I let the sea breeze and crisp morning air fill my lungs as I watched the waves crash on the shore. It was a beautiful morning. I let my hands rest against my belly and then out of nowhere I felt the lightest bit of movement under my hands. I looked down slightly astonished and waited to see if it would happen again. There it was. I smiled at the feeling coming from within me. Our baby girl was moving, and I could finally feel it. I was overjoyed but right now I was on a mission. A mission for Logan.

I pulled out my phone, scrolled down to Finn's name in my contact list and pressed dial.

"Hello love." Finn answered. "What can I do for you this fine morning?"

"Hey Finn. I need your help with something." I said back.

"Find anything?" Logan said from the couch. He was sitting across the room as I walked back in from my shopping trip in town.

"Yeah. I put on my yoga pants this morning and they almost didn't fit anymore." I said holding up the bags.

"Well you are almost halfway through your pregnancy." He said.

"Yeah. So I went for a walk and then into town to get some new clothes." I said. "I'm gonna go change."

"Okay." He said returning to his paper.

I went into the bedroom and set my bags on the bed. The boys would be here later in the evening. I pulled out a pair of jeans with an elastic waistband and a black V-neck maternity top. I pulled the tags off and redressed in the new clothes. They were much more comfortable than the other ones I had been wearing.

I put the rest of the new clothes in the drawers and threw away the trash then made my way back out.  I couldn't wait to see Logan's face when the guys showed up. It was only a small thing that I was doing but...it was something.

"I have something to show you." I said walking into the living room.

He set down his paper and looked at me with intrigue, " What's that?"

I sat down next to him, my hand covering his. He gazed at me with a confused expression and then I picked up his hand and placed it on my stomach. We sat like that for a couple minutes and then she kicked. Logan looked at me with a mix of shock and joy on his face. "Was that--" He started but was then cut off by another kick. He looked down at my stomach.

"I started feeling it this morning." I told him, smiling.

"She's kicking." He said and then he kissed me and then kissed my belly.

I kept watching the clock. Finn, Collin and Robert should be here any minute.

"Ace? What are you doing?" He said laughing at me.

"What? Nothing." I said returning to my chopping.

"You keep checking the time." He said from the stove.

"No I'm not." I said.

"Yes you are. You think I don't know you?" He said laughing again.

I avoided his question. Just a couple more minutes. He deserved it and I wasn't going to spoil the surprise. Then they burst through the door.

"We have arrived!" Finn yelled through the house.

The three guys walked into the kitchen where we were still prepping dinner for the night.

"What are you guys doing here?" Logan said with a giant smile setting down the wooden spoon.

"We heard you were in need of some excitement." Collin chimed in.

"I'm just here for the Scotch." Robert said plopping down in the closest chair.

"Why love! Look at you! What you do eat a watermelon seed?" Finn asked wrapping me in a hug and kissing me on the check.

"Yes Finn. That's exactly what I did." I said with a laugh.

"But seriously! How did you guys know where we were." Logan asked.

"Well a little birdie chirped in our ear and told us where we were needed." Collin said.

"Well." I started, "With everything that you've done for me in the past couple months, I wanted to do something for you. So this morning while you were still asleep I went on a walk and called Finn--" He cut me off midsentence with a mind numbing kiss.

"We can wait while you two lovebirds go take care of your needs." Collin said looking through the fridge. "I'm starving anyway."

"It's okay." I said once he broke away.

"I love you Ace." Logan said with one more kiss. "Thanks for calling them."

"Now, about that Scotch." Robert said getting up and walking over to the bar.

"So what's the plan?" Collin asked.

"Yes! What is the plan?" Finn asked examining the items on the stove.

"Well boys, I suggest a poker night. I still have Billy on speed dial. I can have him here within the hour. Everything around here closes at six." Logan suggested.

"Perfect!" Robert said and everyone looked in his direction. "What I finally found it, stuffed in the back." He finished grabbing a glass off the shelf.

The rest of the night went like gangbusters. We ate dinner, Billy showed up and set up the poker table and they played for a while, we broke to have a bonfire, for the guys a drunken bonfire, and then they played poker for the rest of the night. I finally decided to go to bed around two in the morning and Logan continued on with the boys.

"You cheat Huntzberger." I could hear Collin say from where I woke in the bedroom the next morning.

"Oh you're just being a sore loser Collin." Logan laughed.

"I'll let it slide. Just because you've gotta kid on the way." Collin responded.

"Such a gentleman." I heard Finn chime in.

"And don't you forget it." Collin said.

"I'm starving." I heard Robert say as I walked down the hall.

"Morning Ace. Sleep well?" Logan asked when he saw me.

"Yeah. Morning boys." I said to everyone.

"Breakfast cocktails anyone? Except you love." Finn said with a wink.

"How about some real breakfast? There's a diner in town. Plus we were headed back to the city today anyway." I said

"Judging?" Finn said pretending to be hurt.

"Always." I said laughing.

We packed up and stopped by Grandmas to thank her one more time before heading to town for breakfast and then we headed back to the city.
