The next couple days went by in a blur. Little sleep, a lot of feedings, a lot of diapers. We also got a lot of visitors. Grandma came by as soon as visiting hours started, and held Sandra for what felt like hours.
"So how did everything go?" She asked, rocking her great-grandchild back and forth smoothly.
"As well as labor and delivery can really. My water broke while we were in Central Park. That will be fun to tell her about when she's older." I replied.
"Oh my. That must have been so embarassing for you Rory. I would have just died." She said, with a horified look on her face.
"That how I felt when it happened. I'm just gald it's over." I said. I looked over at Logan who was getting a little bit of sleep in the chair while he could. We had been moved a little while after I had given birth. It was a similar room. just a little smaller, since they didn't need all the monitors and computers.
"And how's Logan?" She asked motioning in his direction.
"Great. Sandra already has him wrapped around her tiny finger." I said with a chuckle. "He's been beyond helpful."
"That's good." She started. "So, now that all of this is over, is there talk about a wedding in the near future?" She asked, looking hopeful.
"No. We just had Sandra, and I think we are just going to try to figure out parenting right now. We don't really need any other stress in our life." I said.
"That makes sense. I'm just glad you two are together." She said.
Her face looked like a mixture of happy and sadness. I could tell what she was thinking, I was thinking the same thing. "I wish he was here too grandma."
She looked up at me. "Your Grandpa would have been so proud of you, and he would have just adored her." She said.
"Well I think, in some way, he is here with us. Even if it's just in spirit." I said.
She smiled a little, and then went back to rocking Sandra.

After Grandma had left I got the chance t get some sleep and take a shower. It felt weird, not having Sandra inside of me anymore. It left a bit of an empty feeling where she had been, and my stomach felt to soft. I didn't feel right.
I finished my shower and got dressed in a set of pajamas that I had bought for the hospital. It was time for another feeding. I walked out of the bathroom and Honor was there sitting next to Logan holding Sandra.
"Beautiful isn't she." I said walking over to them.
"Oh Rory. She's absolutely precious!" Honor said beaming. "Logan said you did great to. I was horrible. I didn't taking labor well, to say the least. Poor Josh."
"Well I had them give me the epidural. There was no way I was going to have her competely natural." I said with a laugh. "But I have to feed her. You can have her right back when I'm done."
"Oh yeah. No problem." She said handing her over.
We talked a while more while I fed Sandra, then Honor held her some more before she had to go.

Mom was in and out as much as she could be and we had a couple more visitors. Lane and Paris both dropped by, and then Finn and Collin came by. I swear they just came to pick up on the young nursing interns.
Sandra went through routine tests and check-ups and finally halfway through our sencond day in postpartum we were released to go home. I was so happy to hear that we wre getting to finally leave the hopital, but at that exact moment I started to freak. I looked at our baby girl, asleep in her clear hospital bassinet.
"Ace, whats wrong?" Logan said, totally tuned into my every thought.
"We can't go home." I said.
"What, why not?" He asked confused.
"How are we going to do this? How are we going to take care of her without the help from the nurses and the staff here? What if she doesn't like it?" I said freaking out.
"Ace, just slow down a minute." He said, sitting next to me, with his body turned in my direction. "Everyone has to leave the hospital at some point and everyone gets through it." He said. "We'll be fine. I promise. It may taking some adjusting, but we'll figure it out and as for her not liking it...do you remember her room? Who couldn't like it there?" He said smiling.
I thought about his words. We could do this, as long as we were together, we would be fine. "Logan, I love you."
"I love you to. Now let's take our daughter home." He said.
