Hey guys!!! it 2014 now! I had a very emotional night yesterday! But you probably don't care and want me to get on with the book so ENJOY!!

Kats POV

The next morning was normal... After Jamie had to sneak out my window after hiding under my bed when my parents came in to wake me up.

We didn't get caught but now my parents are suspicious since I smelled a little like Jamie since I had snuggled up with him the whole night.

That was probably the worst explanation ever. I started ranting about how I had to much garbage in my room and that I accidentally sprayed my dads cologne instead of air freshener.

After that horrible explanation my mom gave me a weird look and then just walked away. Anyways, I was bored so I called up my girls and asked them to do something with me.

So we all decided to go to the mall. I got ready and was at the door when my mom called me back.

"Yeah mom." I said in a voice that was extremely cold for me.

"Were are you going?" She asked and gave me a look that basically told me to watch my tone.

"To the mall with Genie and Amy." I said as calmly as possible.

"How do I know you aren't going to see that Jamie guy?" She said putting her hands on her hips.

'Ouch. So much for trust.' I thought as I gave her an emotionless expression. "You killed those chances, didn't you?" I said with venom dripping off my every word.

She looked shocked for a second but then she regained her posture and said, "fine but be home before dark."

I walked out the door without a response. Not a goodbye. Not an OK. Nothing. I left and walked to my car. I got in and left.

I went shopping for half if the day. The other half me and the girls went back to the lake. We had a mini picnic and just relaxed.

I got home but I froze as I got closer and saw a familiar car in the driveway along with two other cars. The sign of the cars made me sick to my stomach. The cars belonged to my parents and my grandparents.

To most people that's great. But for me, it's a reminder that to the rest of my weird, idiotic family we are the "embarrassing, disappointment" of the family.

Harsh but true. Unfortunately, I was also judged and constantly talked down in simply because they thought that my cousins were better than us. I can't tell why though. They are such snobs.

So of course when I walk through the door reluctantly the first thing I see is a guy standing next to my grandmother.

He was an average height with black-brown eyes and a boring haircut and a horribly dyed blonde hair. He was not attractive but then again not ugly either.

The words that my grandma said made me want to just leave and never come back. Never care about her expectations. Never care about what I did.

Her next words were "Darling! Come and meet Max. Me and his grandmother have talked and I want you to marry him!"
