Kats POV
What I hadn't known was that my parents had listened in on the conversation and as you can probably estimate they weren't happy about it.
As soon as we went back into the house we saw my parents standing there, looking at us expectantly.
"Umm... Hi mom and dad." I said uncertainly.
They just kept looking at us in the doorway. I guess the fact that we were holding hands didn't help.
"Can I help you or are you just going to stare at us?" I asked, surprised by the attitude in my voice.
"Young lady, you said that you didn't love him." My dad said sternly.
I rolled my eyes an said, "No that's what you assumed I never said that."
He looked at Jamie and I with an angry expression. Then he yelled, "Get that boy out of my house! I don't need my daughter getting pregnant!"
That's when I felt something snap inside of me. I started yelling at him. "Dad! Who do you think I am? If you think that I would do that then you need to get you facts straight!"
Jamie stepped in to help me. "Sir I would never disrespect your daughter like that!"
My dad turned on him. "Oh, is that so? That's what they all say and then the next thing they know, they're bottling a baby!"
That's was the last straw. I wasn't going to take the yelling anymore. I grabbed Jamie hand and pulled him out the door. He looked confused at first as I dragged him to the car.
I could hear my dad yelling at me and asking me were I was going. I honestly had no idea were I was going but I dragged Jamie to my car and pushed him into the passenger seat.
I started the car and we went off. It was silent for the first few minutes but Jamie broke the silence. "You shouldn't have left like that." He said quietly.
"Well? What else could I have done?" I asked exhausted from the fight.
He shrugged and we kept driving in silence. We ended up at the place were we had first kissed. We walked into the park and say down on a bench. We stared at the horizon and watched the sun set.
