Chapter 26

Hey guys! So I'm being not going to be on wattpad as much but I'll try to update regularly still. ENJOY!!

Kats POV

Usually it's the parents that embarrass the child... My parents would rather pretend that I'm still single. Unfortunately that doesn't mean that I got off the hook.

We were in my room, throwing pillows at each other when I heard the doorbell ring. My parents were obviously not going to get it so I went downstairs and opened the door with Jamie right behind me.

I was shocked to see my grandmother standing there, all smiles. I just stood there for a while still kind of stunned from the fact that the woman who knew "my secret" was standing in front of me.

"Grandma... W-what are y-you doing here?" I said unsteadily.

She suddenly hugged me and said, "I'm here to see you and your handsome young boyfriend!"

Me and Jamie exchanged glances and blushed. "Well then... This is Jamie... My boyfriend." I smiled as I said boyfriend.

My grandma looked at him for a while, just looking him up and down. Then she practically tackled him in a hug.

He almost fell but managed to recover quickly and hugged back. My grandma pulled away and said, "He'll survive in this family if he can take that hug."

I laughed a bit knowing that it was true. My family was full of huggers so he had to get used to it.

He smiled nervously. That was when my grandmother started to lecture him on all things family. Insert facepalm here.

"So Jamie, since you'll be part of this family soon, you need to know a few things about it..." She started to ramble on about my different family members.

The whole time Jamie had an amused look on his face and I had an expression that probably expressed my total embarrassment.

After that she took out some family albums and some old baby pictures and settled down in the kitchen after a quick hello to my parents. I really just wanted to disappear as she showed him my baby pictures.

He just went along with it. My grandmother made some coffee and gave us each a cup. Then she kept going. After that she questioned Jamie about his future plans and all that jazz.

After about 3 hours she finally left. As soon as her car disappeared Jamie burst our laughing.

"Hey! It's not funny!" I said.

He calmed down and said, "Your family is absolutely amazing."

I rolled my eyes and said, "No, their embarrassing."

He laughed and said, "So are you... And that's why I love you."

I smiled and looked up at him. We hugged for a while, just stood there on the porch holding each other. For that moment everything was absolutely perfect. Well at least for that one moment.
