Chapter 33

Hey guys!! I started a new book called Future Promises! Please read it!! I'm actually really happy with this idea! ENJOY!!

Kats POV

I glanced over Jamie's shoulder and read what he had written in the paper. "Hey!! I am not always hungry and lazy!" I exclaimed.

He laughed. "Think about it. Are you sure that your not?" he asked. I thought about it. "Darn you and your intellectualness." I muttered.

He laughed. "Intellectuallness? That's a word now?" I nodded and he laughed again. "Is it, now?" he wrote something else down and I read it.

"Hey!! I don't make up words and then claim that they're real!!" I said and he gave me a look. I huffed and said, "Fine. It's not a real word." He smiled triumphantly.

I heard a beep come from his pocket. He pulled it out and frowned at the screen. I tried to read the text but he put it away before I could. "What was it?" I asked, worried.

"Oh, nothing... hey I have to go. Sorry but I'll see you at school." he said and stood up to leave. he gave me a quick kiss and left.

I just sat there, shocked. That was weird... what was going on? I didn't have much time to think about it because my phone rang. I picked it up and was greeted by Genie squealing on the other side.

"Woah, woah! Slow down! What is it!" I asked as I tried to calm her down. After she calmed down she told me that Joey had asked her out and we squealed together. We are such girls!

"I always knew that you would end up together!" I squealed. She screamed into the phone and I held the phone at arms length so that she wouldn't leave me deaf.

After that we talked a while. Then she asked about Jamie and I frowned. "It's weird, Jamie just left after he got a text. He never leaves so suddenly." I said.

"Do you think he could be cheating on you?" she asked cautiously. I hadn't really thought about it but that's mostly because I didn't want to.

"Ugh! I don't know! I just don't wanna turn into those girlfriends that come to conclusions to quickly." I sighed and so did Genie.

"Hon, every girlfriend is like that deep down." she said and I burst out laughing. "Gee, thanks, Genie." I managed to say between my laughter.

"But seriously, do you think that he might be?" she asked, a bit worried.

"I don't want to think about it." I said quietly. As I thought about it I didn't want to go through it. I almost cried thinking about it.

I don't know if I let out a sob or something because Genie was soon comforting me as I sobbed into the phone. Then she said something and hung up. I didn't pay attention to what she said since I was to busy thinking of all the ways I could lose Jamie. I was so lost in my misery that I didn't hear the door open. I did feel the arms hugging me.

I looked up and found Genie hugging me and patting my back. I wiped a few tears and managed to hiccup "H-How did you get in?" She gave me a look and said, "With my spare key that you gave me, remember?"

I had forgotten about that for a moment. I don't have a very good memory. After that we kind of just sat there for a few moments. Then Genie's phone beeped. She checked it and her eyes grew a bit but she quickly covered up and then looked at me and said, "Lets go to the mall! That will cheer you up!"

I nodded and got up to get ready. After that we got into my car (which she decided to dry since I wasn't "emotionally stable") and drove to the mall.

It was weird because Genie kept wanting me to try on dresses even though she knows I hate them. She also insisted on buying shoes that had to be perfect and all sorts of other stuff. After a while she came over to me and said, "That's enough for today, let's go to the park!"

I swear she's crazy...

Jamie's POV

She'll be back in no time. She's going to catch me! Everything had to be perfect! What if she rejects me? Oh My God, she's going to reject me! What have I ever done for her?

I guess my internal freaking out must have showed because Derrick poked me and said, "Chill man, it'll be fine."

I nodded and took a deep breath. Here goes nothing...
