His turn to fall

Chapter 35

Kats POV

It was the day of the dance and I was nervous. I hadn't even been allowed to see my dress. Amy and Genie had gone shopping without me and we all have the same size and style so they kinda left me in the blue with that.

"Close your eyes!" Amy smacked me on the head with her book. I was surprised to see her with a book but then she told me it was called Fashion Mishaps and that she was reading it so that nothing bad happened to embarrass us.

"Fine! Just stop hitting me with that thing!" I closed my eyes. I heard moving around in my room and then Genie and Amy squealed and said, "Ok Kat. You can open your eyes now."

I opened my eyes and there stood the most perfect dress I had ever seen. It was white with aquamarine and dark blue flowers. I covered my mouth and let out a squeal. Then I tackled Genie and Amy and gave them a bear hug.

"It's perfect! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!" Amy managed to bring me to my senses before I choked them.

"Well if we're going to go to the dance we should get ready." Amy grabbed her dress (which was absolutely gorgeous by the way.) and walked to the bathroom. She came back out in a dress that complimented her perfectly. Genie went into the bathroom next, when she came out she looked amazing. Next was my turn and I was actually a bit nervous to see whether or not it would fit.

I walked in and slipped the dress on. It fit perfectly! I walked out, a bit self conscious and as soon as Genie and Amy saw me they grew silent and stared at me.

"Is it bad?" I asked. Amy laughed and I saw that she had tears threatening to fall from her eyes. "What's wrong, Amy?" I asked confused.

"You look amazing... I can't believe we are going to the dance with our boyfriends. I mean just last year we didn't even have a guy looking in our direction and now we are going out with the hottest guys in school." she let a few tears fall but quickly wiped them away.

I hugged her and grabbed Genie and hugged her to. "I love you guys." I said as we stood there letting all that had happened lately sink in.

I looked at the clock and said, "If we're going to be ready for the boys we better hurry." Amy nodded and said, "Makeup first!"

I rolled my eyes and sat down as she started doing my makeup. "Darling, trust me 'dis vil be absolutely fabulous!" she said in a weird accent.

I laughed and she playfully smacked my hand. "No laughing! You'll ruin my masterpiece!" she said, still speaking in her weird accent.

I tried to keep from laughing as she continued her work. When she was done she grabbed Genie and did her makeup as well. Then Genie did Amy's since I was horrible with makeup.

"I call hairstylist!" yelled Genie. She grabbed me and after a while of playing around with my hair and getting different "angles" of my hair she decided on a hair style. I wasn't allowed to look in the mirror so for all I knew she could be giving me a poodle look.

"Alright you can look now." she moved out if the way and I looked in the mirror and saw someone that I really couldn't recognize. My overly curly hair was partially straightened and put into a sort of braid like bun with pieces of hair falling out. I really couldn't describe it actually since I was also bad with hair.

"It looks amazing Genie!" I said and hugged her. Genie pulled Amy into the chair and had her wavy hair straightened and curled at the tip. Then Amy did Genie's straight hair into a really intricate braid that I probably couldn't have done with an instruction manual.

We finished just in time. A minute later we heard a door bell. My mom opened the door and yelled, "Kat, the boys are here!"

I gave a final hug to the girls and we walked down the hall to the door were the boys were waiting and from the looks on their faces they were extremely happy to see us. I walked up to Jamie, who was practically drooling and gave him a quick kiss.

I looked at my mom who was looking over the couples with tears in her eyes. She grabbed a camera and said, "You are not leaving till I get a picture!"

I laughed and we all lined up for the pictures. She snapped the picture and then gave a hug to all of us, even Jamie, who she told to make sure I came home safely and a virgin. I turned red at that and pushed everyone out the door.

Jamie grabbed my hand and gave it a squeeze and whispered, "I love you, Kat." Even now my heart fluttered at his words.

"I love you, too." I gave him a quick kiss as he opened the door for me. I remember that my thought as he closed the door was 'this is going to be a night to remember.' The truth is I had no idea that that would be a very important night in our relationship.

Hey guys!!! Sorry that I haven't updated lately but school was being stressful! I don't know how many of you heard about the threats that my high school was getting but I was so scared!

Anyways, the Midnight Memories music video came out... what was with Harry and the old ladies? Speaking of Harry, ITS HARRY'S BIRTHDAY!!! LETS ALL WISH OUR PERFECT POPSTAR A HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
