SORRY JACE FOR SLAPPING YOUR FACE

I GROANED WHEN I TRIED TO DE-GLAMORIZE MYSELF IN A BOX. "Really? In here?" Jace asked Clary. We were literally trapped in boxes. And I'm sorta, kinda, freaking out here! "Why not?" Clary asked.

"There's gotta be a better place." Jace said.

I narrowed my eyes. "No, here's good." Clary said. I tried it again. "Ow!" Jace said. "All right." "You're out?!" I asked. "Years of practice, Bella." Jace said.

"Hey Bella, need help with that?" He asked. "Jace, I'll wipe that grin off your face." I said. "Come on, Bella." Clary said.

"What the hell? You're out too?" I asked. Ugh, this is so complicated. Smiling at myself, I finally did it. I was finally out of the box. But I landed on the floor.

"Ouch!" Jace and Clary helped me up. "Oh, Bella, another tip," Jace said, "It's de glamour." I scoffed, rolling my eyes. "Whatever." I placed my stele in my back left pocket. I looked at Jace and Clary Who's faces were inches apart.

"Guys!" I shouted at them, waving my arms around.

They both stepped away from each other. I stood there with my face scrunched up.

"The cards!"

"Right. The cards." Jace breathed.

I nodded, rolling my eyes. "You guys can do that later," I said. "So can you and Alec." Jace pointed out. I punched his arm. "Ouch. Dammit, Bella," Jace said. "You're getting stronger," he said, grinning.

"Whatever. So, how exactly are we gonna get them?" I asked Clary.

Hopefully she has a genius plan. "I doubt we can make it out of this closet without drawing attention, let alone Luke's desk. And you are both covered in runes." Jace said. I scoffed.

Great. "Don't worry, I've got a plan." Clary said.

"And what, exactly, is that plan?" I asked her.

"It's a good plan this time, right?" I asked.

"90%," Clary said. "What about the other percent?" I asked. "Just follow my lead."

"Whatever you say." I said, holding my hands up in surrender and sighed. "Oh, and I apologize," Clary said grinning. "For what?" Jace asked. I raised an eyebrow. "The other 10%."

What the hell is her plan?

-

We walked out of the room and to the main office where Luke worked. We walked in and I wondered what Clary's plan was. The whole office turned to look at us. I made sure I covered my runes with my scarf, making sure it was in the correct place. "You son of a bitch!" Clary yelled. My eyes widened as she turned around to smack Jace in the face. Oh, my god. I kept cool and tried not to burst out laughing.

That didn't exactly help when I started to cry.

"Oh!" Jace said, as he held a hand to his face.

I giggled, wiping a tear away from my eye. I can't believe she just did that. "Stop following me and my twin!" Clary yelled. "Hey, what happened to being discreet?" Jace whispered to us. I shrugged, "Beats me," I whispered back.

"Hmm? What, did you say? Did you say you just cheated on my twin? You bitch!" I spat. I hit Jace on the other side of the cheek, I tried keeping a serious face on. "I did not- whoa," Jace said, he held his face.

"Bella?" Jace whispered. "Sorry. I kinda wanted to do that from the beginning," I said. I then stood close to Clary. "You will never see me at your crappy apartment again." Clary said. "That girl means nothing to me. Nothing." I scoffed, rolling my eyes. Sighing, Jace walked away.

Clary and I grinned at each other. "Is that the boyfriend that I heard so much about?" Sarah, Luke's boss asked us as she walked over.

"Nope. Not anymore." Clary sighed.

We then walked over to Luke's desk.

"I'm dumping him." Clary said. "Uh, I'm pretty sure you just did." I said, pointing out. I opened up the drawer to Luke's desk. There was nothing. Absolutely nothing. "Um, where's Luke's stuff?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.

"I took everything. What are you girls looking for?" She asked, folding her arms.

"I, uh... well Bella being Bella, she lost our house key and Luke usually keeps a spare one in his desk so uh...so is there anyway we can get at it?" Clary asked. I sighed. Really, Clary? Really? "Uh, not till he's cleared." "Cleared?" I asked.

"Oh, don't worry about it. We'll get it handled."

"Oh, okay..." I said, folding my arms across my chest and placing Luke's drawer back to where it was.

"Clary, I'm sorry," Jace said, he walked over to her. I glared.

"I apologize. I just wanted you to know that it only happened like two or three times. It just happened a couple of times and I'm totally sorry," Jace said. "Shut up." Clary, Sarah, and I all said. I scoffed, rolling my eyes. "Babe, come on," Jace said.

"Listen, you don't get to call her babe, got it? In fact, you don't get to call her anything at all. Clary's done with you, got it? Take him out." Sarah said. I tried not to laugh. "have rights!" Jace yells, he walked away. "Perhaps it's for the best?" Sarah said. "Oh, matching tattoos. That's a big red flag." She looked at Clary's rune. I bit my bottom lip nervously.

"Oh... this? This is nothing." Clary said. "Don't worry about it. I get it. You always fall for the bad boys, right?" Sarah asked.

"Oh, or is that just me?"

I chuckled.

"Uh, right..." Clary said, not really knowing what to say. I don't blame her. "I-we just really need that key," Clary said. I nodded, pursing my lips.

"I'm sorry Bella, Clary. But IA has all Luke's stuff in the evidence vault upstairs. Perhaps you could maybe find the one that you girls are looking for? Did you check your bag, Bella?" Sarah asked me. I reached in to my bag, I pretended to look around but I knew where it really was all along.

"Oh. Oh, my god!" I gasped, "You're totally right, thank you so much! Thank you so much again!" I said, giving her a quick hug. "Come on, let's go!" I said, grabbing Clary's hand and I dragged her out of the office. To the tarot cards we go.
