Chapter 4
I've only been here for half a day, and my work has already been commended on!
Right after lunch, I started working with different patterns for a new design that the boss had apparently chosen. Well that's what Ma'am had told me, I haven't seen him yet myself, but a few people took my designs to show him and he said that he really liked it, and thinks that I'd be worth meeting tomorrow.
"Best work I've seen all spring." He'd said.
However, I still don't like the way people look at me. It really pisses me off, but to prove them all wrong, I've already made a mental note on which dress I'l be wearing tomorrow. I'm really excited, I'll be bringing sexy secretary to a whole new level.

I'm actually not too bad when it comes to mornings, but today I was really not looking forward to getting out of bed at six o'clock in the morning. After a good five minute pep talk, I headed to our ensuite bathroom.
After a fifteen minute shower I was fully awake. Wearing my robe, I searched in me and my sister's walk-in closet, pulling and pushing hangers, seeking for my dress. Taking fairly a bit of time, I finally found my grey and black v-neck bandage dress. Taking a relieved deep breath, I quickly slid into it while looking for my glossy black pumps. (Dress on the side)

Now for the hair and make-up, just as I was sneaking out my sister's curler, she woke up.
"Sarah?" Vanessa mumbled, half asleep. She rubbed her eyes like a little girl. "What are you do-" she started, before stopping to look at me and my guilty smile, "wearing?" She ended her question differently, sounding a tad shocked."What are you wearing, Sarah?" She repeated, getting up from her laying down position so she could sit down. "Just a dress," I replied cooly. "Yeah, I see that." Vanessa rolled her eyes at my answer, "But what for exactly?"
"Work. I told you that I got the job yesterday, don't look so surprised."
"Work? Well that's quite a drastic difference from what you wore yesterday."
"Yeah I know, I thought that would give me a better chance yesterday. But no, people just, well, stared. They think I'm some kind of, I don't know, town girl. Which isn't a bad thing, but I want to show them that their wrong."
"Mhmm, alright then. It is a beautiful dress though and you look absolutely beautiful in it." She smiled. "What time do you start?" She questioned.
"Well she told me to be there between 8:20 - 8:40." I replied.
"Oh, so not exactly a precise time. That's great! But you have to get out of here before mom sees you wearing this dress to work and starts her lectures." She realized.
I nodded, "That's why I woke up an extra forty-five minutes earlier than usual." I informed her, before glancing over to the side table clock. It read 6:47am.
"Mom's usually up and about at 7:30. So you should leave in half an hour." Vanessa told me, as if reading my mind. "Here let me do your hair, you do your make-up." She pitched in, before the both of us rushed over to the bathroom.
I carefully did my cover up, before putting on my bronzer and blush. I easily wiped on my pinkish-red lipstick stain on and finished with my eye make-up. I watched as Vanessa struggled with the last quarter of my hair. "Quick 'Nessa!"
"Yeah yeah, one more minute." Embracing that minute, I grabbed my sterling silver ring and diamond bracelet and put it on. "Kay, I'm done you seductive curls. Happy?"
