I woke up to an empty room. I rubbed my eyes in an attempt to focus them. It looked like a fashion show just exploded all over our room. "Vanessa," I shouted annoyed. "You better clean all this up," I added while getting out of the room in search for her.

Instead, Mason popped his head out from the living room. I froze in shock, he usually just chilled in his and Tyson's suite, not me and Vanessa's. I tried to remember what I was wearing... am I decent? I sighed in relief when I realized that it was just matching cotton pjs. Shorts and a tank, patterned with pink and black stripes.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, trying to act casual as I walked up to him.

"Tyson and Vanessa are on a ziplining date, but mother called me just now and asked us to come right away." He blurted.

It was a lot to take in that quick, I mean come on, I just woke up. I stared at him for a while, and he just looked confused. "Did you hear me?" He asked.

I nodded, "okay so Vanessa and Tyson are on a date. Cool. But Mom wants us to come? Like home?"

His left eye twitched a little, "y-e-s."

"But why?"

He rolled his eyes this time, "I don't know. She doesn't like to explain. She just told us to leave as soon as possible. So pack up we have to go."

I felt dumbstruck, "but what about Vanessa and Tyson?"

"They'll just come tomorrow evening like we originally planned."

It just didn't make sense to me. What could be that important? Mrs. Wilson is the one that forced us into coming in the first place. "Do you want me to talk to her? I'm sure she'd be fine with all of us coming together tomorrow." I suggested, especially after how our last flight went.

Mason groaned, "can you just do what I say for once." He glared at the wall behind me. "She was serious. I know my mother better than you."

I sighed, raising my arms up in defeat. "Fine, you win. Just give me twenty minutes."

I packed hurriedly, trying to shove as many things as physically possible in two suitcases. I l left one carry on for Vanessa. There's only one more day left, she didn't need most of the stuff. I might as well make it easier for her to pack.

I made sure to leave her straighter, along with her other essential hair products. Didn't want her to freak out at me over her hair. I left her three outfits, for the next day. She'd just have to choose between them.

Exactly twenty-two minutes later, I walked out with my purse dangling from my arm while dragging two large, colorful suitcases behind me.

Mason stood in front of the elevator with his hands in his pockets, watching me struggle. He didn't show any emotions but I could tell that he was amused. I scoffed at his lack of courtesy. "Where are your bags?" I asked curiously.

"I called someone to take them down for me," he replied cooly. I restrained myself from rolling my eyes. "Do you want me to call someone for you?" He asked cockily.

I immediately shook my head, "no I can handle it myself."

I continued to walk before quickly tripping over my bag and landing on Mason's chest. I blushed madly against my wishes. Mason's eyes flickered between excitement and joy. I could've stared into his deep brown eyes for hours but he swiftly looked away from me and hastily stood me straight. "If you can't take them, don't. This is why I asked to get someone for you." He growled harsher than necessary.

I was at a loss for words. How could he just switch between the person I'd fallen for to the person that didn't want anything to do with me?

When I didn't respond he pressed on the arrow pointing down. I took a step into the elevator, staring at the patterned flooring. I didn't blink afraid of crying, not because of what he said. But because I could tell that the bridge we'd built between our hearts in the past couple of days was starting to crumble against the heavy weight of his anger. I just didn't know what for.
