Once again, I'm behind. Surprise, surprise. This prompt will be continued in a later chapter.
Anakin and Ahsoka get a leave and decide to spend Christmas on Naboo with Padme. Why, Ahsoka doesn't have a clue(or maybe she does)
"Padme?" Anakin called out as he scanned the front room of her flat. He expected her to be here, she said she would be, but he could feel her within the boundary of the flat. Force, he hoped she hadn't gotten hurt. He assumed she hadn't, there was no distress in her distant force presence. Perhaps she was called in for a meeting. As he heard footsteps from down the hall, he concluded that that was definitely what had happened.
The door to the flat slid open, and standing outside was the Senator from Naboo dressed in her senate robes, her hair pulled up intricately. Anakin gasped when he saw who was standing next to her. Ahsoka was smiling mischievously, and Anakin could guess why. It's not like he had an excuse that he could explain to his padawan for being here.
"General Skywalker, I'm sorry I'm late," Padme spoke, breaking the silence and giving Anakin a look that told him to stop glaring at Ahsoka. "I ran into your padawan on my way back from meeting with Senator Organa, she was looking for you."
Ahsoka gave Anakin a grin and Anakin resulted back to glaring, one eyebrow raised in confusion. "Ahsoka, why were you looking for me here."
"Master Kenobi told me I might find you here," was Ahsoka's casual response.
"How'd he know I'd be here," Anakin couldn't push the worry that his secret was known out of his voice, leaving the statement shaky.
Ahsoka simply shrugged. "He seemed in a rush, wouldn't tell me anything else. It was kinda suspicious...Why are you here anyway?"
"Hm, that's not like Obi-Wan, I wonder where he was going," Anakin replied, leaving Ahsoka's last question unanswered. "Where do you think, Snips?"
"Maybe he has a secret lover," Ahsoka replied, and Anakin almost choked, especially when he could've sworn he heard Ahsoka mumble, "he wouldn't be the only Jedi." Kriff, he cursed to himself, but continued to speak like he had heard nothing.
"Obi-Wan? What makes you think that anyone would like that old man," Anakin laughed, clearly remembering everything that happened on the Coronet. He wouldn't give Obi-Wan up that easily, sure he liked teasing his former master, but he wasn't that bad.
"Alright, whatever," Ahsoka groaned. "Now you're just avoiding my question."
"What question?" Ahsoka and Padme glared at him. "Ohhh, that question."
"Senator Amidala, my friend, invited me to spend Christmas with her when she found out I had leave. She told me to meet her here so we could leave for Naboo this afternoon."
"I see..." Ahsoka didn't look convinced, actually, she was smirking, but what was Anakin to do. "But, master, if you're on Naboo and Obi-Wan's with his secret lover, are you expecting me to spend Christmas at the temple alone?"
"Um," Anakin hadn't thought of that, although technically the Obi-Wan information was new. "Why don't you go spend time with Barriss?"
"She and Master Unduli are on a mission." Ahsoka crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow. "Isn't that what Master Unduli told you when you two were talking earlier."
"Kriff, I forgot," Anakin cursed, quickly recalling his conversations from earlier. Padme's reaction was immediate, and based on her sly smile, the Jedi knight wasn't sure he wanted to know her plan.
"Ahsoka could come with us."
"Wait, what?! This was supposed to-" Padme glared at him again, just in time to stop Anakin from giving away everything. "I guess that could work," he groaned.
Ahsoka squealed in joy, which successfully made Anakin brighten up. It was easy to forget that she was still 15 when she was fighting alongside him on the frontlines as a commander.
"Go get you stuff, and fast! Padm-Senator Amidala and I are ready to leave already," Anakin called out to Ahsoka who was already halfway down the hall. He then turned towards Padme. "What have we gotten ourselves into."
