It's Christmas time and Anakin should really be shopping, decorating, or whatever a Jedi knight does for Christmas, but he seems much more interested in playing matchmaker for Obi-Wan and Satine.

Anakin smirked as he placed the last ornament on Padme's tree. He was done decorating now, he was free to go, and although he enjoyed every moment he got with Padme, he had another plan, one that he still had a few minor details to figure out.

He had overheard Padme earlier today, the senator was planning on meeting with Satine sometime later today for...something. Anakin had never been one to pay attention to details, and most certainly not when politics were involved. His plan just involved getting Obi-Wan to come to Padme's flat at the same time. That was the hard part. Obi-Wan was stubborn, he most certainly would not fall for some sloppily put together plan. It left Anakin thinking.

Technically, he could claim that he somehow got hurt, or there was an attack, and he needed the Jedi masters help, but he'd used that one before. There was no way Obi-Wan would believe it again. Maybe he could just invite Obi-Wan to come over. Perhaps he would, but this was Padme's flat. There's no way that that wouldn't be suspicious. Anakin groaned to himself. He was running out of options, but he wasn't about to give up. He was Anakin Skywalker, he didn't give up, but Obi-Wan was making this awfully hard. His thought process was interrupted by the ring of his commlink. He answered instantly.

"Anakin? Are you there?" The familiar voice of Ahsoka questioned.

"Hey, Snips. What do you want." Anakin tried to hide his annoyance. He needed to think of any way possibly to get Obi-Wan and Satine in a room together, not talk to Ahsoka.

"I was wondering if you want to go Christmas shopping with me. I don't have anything for Obi-Wan yet and last time I checked, neither did you."

"Well I'm busy....wait," another idea suddenly popped into Anakin's mind. "Sorry Snips, Obi-Wan and I need to do something, is he with you?"

"Yes, why?" Ahsoka's voice rose in suspicion. Nothing that Anakin could have planned would end up good.

"As I said, I have plans."

"Alright then, I'll go shopping on my own. Talk to you later, Skyguy."

"Bye." Anakin quickly hung up the commlink and dialed in Obi-Wan's number. The Jedi master took longer to answer than Anakin would've thought, but the ringing eventually stopped and was replaced by Obi-Wan's voice.

"Anakin." Obi-Wan groaned. "What do you want."

"I need a present for Ahsoka," Anakin lied. He had had Ahsoka's Christmas present for weeks already. "And I need your help."

"Do you now," Obi-Wan sounded unconvinced.

"Yes, I need you to meet me at the Senate building."

"The Senate building? What present could you get for Ahsoka there." Why did Obi-Wan have to question everything?

"Yes the Senate meeting. I need a ride."

"I'm trusting you on this, Anakin." And Anakin hated to let him down, again, but it was all part of him plan.

"See you soon, then."

" Yes, see you soon." And Obi-Wan too hung up. Now Anakin had to wait.

Anakin was waiting in front of Padme's office when Obi-Wan walked up to him. The Jedi master's pace was faster than usual and he seemed wary, and with good reason too. Anakin did have a history of pranks of every sort.

"Come on, Anakin. We have somewhere to be."

"But first," Anakin slid open the door to Padme's and shoving Obi-Wan inside. "I have something I would like to show you." He quickly closed the door and locked it after stepping inside behind his former master.

"And what would you like to show me," a look of concern and confusion furrowed his brows. "Anakin, answer me!" But the younger Jedi was grinning as he watched Padme look up from the datapads scattered across her desk. And just as Anakin suspected, Satine sat in one of the two chairs pulled up next to Padme. Bail Organa sat in the other. That may be a problem, as far as he knew the senator was a close friend of Padme's, Anakin just hoped he could keep what Anakin had planned to himself.

"General Kenobi, General Skywalker, what are you two doing here!" Padme pushed her chair back and stood up, motioning for both Anakin and Obi-Wan to leave.

"I'm sorry for the intrusions, Senators," he then turned to Satine, who paid him no attention as her eyes locked on the very flustered Obi-Wan who stood, blushing, and staring intently at the floor, in the center of the room. "And Duchess." And now for his plan.

Taking Obi-Wan by surprise, he placed a hand on his back and pushed him forwards. Obi-Wan managed to regain his posture right before he fell into Satine. The Duchess stood up herself to help him keep his balance, and that was when Anakin pulled the mistletoe he'd been keeping in his pocket all day out and used to force to float it over Obi-Wan and Satine's heads. It took a moment for them to notice, Satine was first, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. When Obi-Wan looked up with a quick nod, he blushed even harder.

Satine reached out towards Obi-Wan and pried his head up so he was looking up. Her other hand wrapped around his neck and pulled him closer as she brushed her lips against his own. Once he realized what was going on, Obi-Wan too leaned into the kiss, one hand tightly gripping her waist while the other gently stroked her back. They seemed comfortable in eachothers arms, like it was completely natural for them both.

And as Anakin watched them with a grin, he couldn't decide who's expression was more hilarious, Bail's complete confusion, Padme's anger(mostly directed towards Anakin), or Obi-Wan's shock.
