Chapter Forty-Five

Author's Note: I decided to update sooner then I was planning on since you guys seemed to freak out from the last chapter. My dad made me this loaf bread or something and it taste so good! So I thought I would share the food with you guys with an update since I can't shove the food into my laptop screen. When are they going to make something that will give others things through the laptop/computer screen. That would be cool wouldn't it? Anyways, enough with my rambling. Here's the update!

Meredith's P.O.V

Collen was shocked as he failed to kiss me back. I didn't exactly blame him since I kissed him out of no where. As he finally took in everything, I felt his lips move against mine kissing me back. His lips were familiar but it didn't feel right. It felt empty. 

I pulled away when I finally decided to breathe. Collen starred at me confused. I didn't want to explain right now especially since Harry and Eleanor were lip-locking just meters away from us. 

I shook my head and grabbed Collen's hand and pulled him away back to the store we left Lindsey. I didn't want to shop anymore. I wasn't even hungry anymore. I just wanted to curl into bed and try to forget the image of the boy I love and my best friend snogging in the damn mall! 

"Meredith wait!" I heard Collen call but I ignored his calls and just dragged him into the shop. We found Lindsey practically drooling over a pair of heels. I would've bought it for her for Christmas even though I already have a few gifts for her wrapped in my bedroom. But I didn't want to stay in this building for another minutes. 

"Lindsey, I want to go home," I said in a cold voice. "Why?" She questioned concerned. 

"I'm tired and I have a headache. You can keep shopping without me. I'm leaving," I told her simply. She slowly nodded and looked at Collen, silently asking him what was going on. Collen simply shook his head. I let go of his hand and started walking to the exit of this building. I practically ran out and I knew Collen was right behind me. 

I found my car and quickly got in while Collen did the same. I started the car and raced out the parking lot. 

There was a silence like earlier. After a few minutes Collen spoke up. 

"Why'd you kiss me?" He questioned his voice shaky. I sighed and closed my eyes but opening them since I was driving and I did not want to die today. 

"I don't know," I replied my voice raspy. I cleared my throat as he tried to think of a reply. 

"Were you trying to get your boyfriend jealous?" He finally said. I cringed at the sound of the word 'boyfriend.' 

"He's not my boyfriend. And no I wasn't trying to get him jealous." I lied. Actually I don't know why I did it. I wasn't trying to get Harry jealous since there's no point for that. 

I did it because I was confused?

I groaned trying not to think about it. If I think about it, the image kept flashing making me want to puke right in this car. 

"Meredith, I still love you but I'm not going to play 'fake-boyfriend' so you can get the guy jealous," Collen answered making me clench my jaws. 

"I wasn't trying to make him jealous!" I finally snapped. "I'm already confused and I have a huge headache and I don't need you to play 20 questions with me when I don't know the damn answers!" I exclaimed. He finally shut his mouth making me sigh once again. 

I am so damn lost. I don't know what the hell to do. Everything in my life is ruined because of his ass. It's like I'm his play toy and he can do anything to me without feeling bad for me. He doesn't care about my feelings and only cares about himself.
