Cell Phones

"Mom!" Tera was calling.

"Yes, sweets?"

"Where's my phone? I can't find it."

"Why did we let her get a phone again?" Luke questioned.

"She walks to and from school, it's for safety."

"A safety phone doesn't have angry chickens and cookie crush on it." Luke scoffed.

"Angry Birds, and Candy Crush." Lorelai corrected.

"Whatever."

''...Uptown funk you up...uptown funk you up..."

"What did that just say?" Luke grimaced.

"Tera's phone!" Lorelai grabbed it. "Tera! Found your phone!"

Tera came dashing down the stairs. "Thank you! Omg, Mom you're bae!"

"What?" Luke stood, dumfounded.

"Bae. Before anyone else..." Tera stated in a Duh tone.

"Oh...sooo-O-ry." Luke held up his hands.

Lorelai checked her watch. "Tera, can you please go get Emma down here."

"Emma! You're gonna be late, hurry up stupid!"

"Hey! Watch it." Lorelai threatened.

"Sorry, mom."

Luke went over to the kitchen and grabbed the kids' lunch boxes.

"I'm ready." Emma came out of her room. "I have a piano recital after school tomorrow, don't forget!"

"We'd never forget, hon. Now, come on I don't want you to be late for school."

"Okay!" The kids got their lunch and left for school.

"Woah. I'm tired." Lorelai wrapped her arms around Luke.

"I bet."

Lorelai's phone went off. It was Rory.

"Mom, hey I need your help." Rory sounded tired as well.

"Okay, what's up?"

"I need you to watch Evie and Chance. I have to run up to the doctors and pick up my meds."

"Okay...aren't they at school?"

"I didn't make them go today. They said they felt sick."

Lorelai squinted. "Both of them?"

"Uh, yeah."

"Okay. Drop them off."

"Thanks mom, I owe you one."

"Yes, you do." Lorelai joked.

Pretty soon Rory came over with her kids.

"Gramma!" Chance ran up to Lorelai.

"Hey, kiddo."

"Evangeline, get out out of the car." Rory was leaning over her grey Prius.

"No." Evangeline sat.

"You're seven years old, not two. Get the hell out of the car."
