Chapter 18

The parents aren't the adopted ones its the real mom but adopted dad or papa sky.

Few Days Later

I was freaking out going back and forth. "What's wrong." Ross asked. "Its my mom she's coming today. She'll be here any minute." I sighed. Ross comes up and hugs me. I hug back and smile. "It'll be ok she isn't staying here is she." Ross asked. I shook my head.

"She's staying with my dad. But she sounded really angry on the phone." I frowned. "I have to go to the store if you need anything." Ross asked. "Um some baby food." I fake smiled. He nodded and gave me a kiss on the forehead. He walked out and left to the store.

I hear crying and I head up the stairs. Heading for my room and opened the door. "Shh Ruby I got you." I said in a soft voice. I used my powers and made shapes with the water. It made Ruby laugh. "Y/n what are you doing with that thing." Someone yelled. I lost my concentration.

The water fell on the ground and Ruby started crying again. "Mom." I said clueless. "Damn straight know put that thing down." Mom demanded. She always thought I was the cures to the world ending. Adam never told her but I did. I wasn't going to let her push me around anymore.

"No." I said. "What did you just say to me." Mom said annoyed. She came at me. I protected Ruby as she hit me in the arm. The witch put a boundary on my power so I cant use it against anyone blood related. She went for another punch. But it was blocked. I look up and see Max.

"Y/n are you ok." Max asked. I nod. But Ruby was still crying. I shush her softly and cradle her. "Who are you the father." Mom asked trying to get out of Max's grasp. "Ross is." I frowned. "Him. Really he's fat." Mom scoffed. She started screaming at me and Max. I covered Ruby's ears.

I couldn't take it. I ran down the stairs with Ruby. Mom was still yelling. I sat down and cried with Ruby. "Y/n what happened." Ross asked. He went over to me. I flinched but realized who it was. He saw the mark on my arm. "Who did this to you." Ross asked. "M-My mom." I cried.

"This is why you were worried about having her over." Ross frowned. I nodded. "She was calling us both names and Ruby." I frowned. "I'll call Adam." Ross said. I nodded. He sat down and called him. I layed on his shoulder and yawned. I soon fell asleep with Ruby.

Ross's POV:

I saw that Y/n and Ruby were sleeping. I looked at her arm and saw a hand mark. I got up and walked up stairs still hearing her mom scream. I walked in the room and tried to calm down her mom. "Ross long time no see." Her mom smirked. "I know you may be upset." I said.

"Upset you screwed my daughter." She yelled. "Fair point but she's happy." I said. "Why would you want that creature to live on. Has she told you about what she did." Her mom smirked again. "No she didn't." I questioned.

"When she first had her powers she killed people. I sent her away for good. And you let it inside your house." Y/m/n said. "That was then she had her problems and I had mine. No ones perfect or safe. But I will try my hardest to keep my family safe." I said. Y/m/n fake sniffled.

"Wow that was something really touched my heart." She fake frowned. "Adam sweetie help mommy out please." She asked. "No." Adam said. "Why." Y/m/n asked. "Because I heard everything you said. I thought you changed. But I guess not." Adam frowned.

He sighed and walked away. Max let go of her and she ran for Adam. "Sweetie I didn't mean any of that." Y/m/n said. Max and I followed. I looked for y/n but she wasn't on the couch.  I checked the rooms. And looked in Tim's. "Tim why are you home." I asked. "Adam brought me shh." Tim whispered.

I shut the door. "Is she in here." I asked. He nodded. "Adam brought her in here." Tim frowned. I nodded and sat down. "Don't worry there's nothing going on with me and Y/n." Tim said. I nodded. "I know." I nodded. "Ross." Y/n said. "Ya." I smiled. "Do you think she can change." Y/n asked.

I nodded with a smile. I can tell y/n loves her mom everyone should. Even if they are bad. "Go back to sleep." I said. And she did I got up. "If she wakes up then tell her to go to the basement it'll be safe." I asked. "Ok." Tim nodded. I left and found Adam outside with his mom.

"Mom you don't just go in there and hit her." Adam yells. "Why cant you give your kid discipline.  Don't you with Mason." Mom said. "No I don't." Adam said annoyed. "Stop." I said. They didn't listen. "STOP." I yelled. They finally stopped and looked at me.

"She probably called you to see if you changed. I don't know what but I can tell she was happy to call you. You didn't like it did you." I said to her mom. She nodded. "Well that means that you didn't so if you could stop being a Bitch to everyone you see." I said angry.

She looked shocked and so did Adam. "Sorry for calling you that but it had to be said sooner or later. I'm going to go check out her arm and see if it is swollen." I sighed walking back into the house. "Come back in when you can except your daughter." I frowned.

I walk to Tim's room and she that she wasn't there. I walked down stairs. She was on the little couch Zero and Charlie slept on before they left. "Hey y/n." I whispered. "Shh." She shushed. And motioned me to her. I walked over and saw that Ruby was sleeping. It was really adorable.

I sat down and wrapped my arms around y/n. "I heard you outside." Y/n smiled. "Oh." I said a little embarrassed. "Thank you for stepping up to her like that." Y/n yawned. "Have you taken a nap yet today." I asked. Y/n usually naps with Ruby but lately she hasn't.

She shook her head. "Go take one I can handle Ruby." I smiled. "You sure I can do it its no problem." Y/n worried. "Your not the only parent in this house." I said. She hugged me tight. "Thank you again." Y/n smiled. She walked over to the pool and jumped in.

I love how she takes naps its really cool. Just jumps in the water and boom sound asleep. Since Ruby is to young to swim she has her on the couch. I smiled sighing. I hear soft snores. And then foot steps. I look and see Y/n's mom. I put my finger on my lips. So she knows to be quiet.

She nods and sits down next to me. "I thought of what you said." She sighed. "Good." I whisper. "Its just that I had a rough life when I was little. Since you know about the creatures in the world. A witch killed my parents." Y/m/n frowned. "Oh how old were you." I asked.

"5." She sighed. "Is that the same age that she was cursed." I asked. She nodded. I pat her shoulder. "I love kids its just that maybe the witch could have cursed Ruby. I got way out of hand." Y/m/n said. "May I." Y/m/n asked. I nodded. She picked her up and cradled her.

For about 5 minutes.
