Chapter 31

We got home and went inside. Max was home and a few more people. It was probably Jess and a few people.

We opened the door and saw Jess, Max, Adam, and Cheese. "Hey guys." I said. "Hey." They all said.

They seemed down. "It's been a while." I said. "How are you feeling." Adam asked. "Good I think." I shrugged.

"Shelby who's that." Max asked. "His name is Stefan." Shelby smiled. "I never knew you had a kid." Max said.

"Non of you knew." Shelby said. Stefan was sleeping. "I was told to keep him a secret by his dad." Shelby sighed.

"I'll tell you guys later. Right now is about Ross and welcoming him back home." Shelby said.

"Yeah." Jess said. We talked a lot about what went on in the world while I was gone. Adam and Alesa got back together.

Jess and Jason got a Corgi named Jet. Jess showed me a picture. It was adorable. "Mum where are you." Stefan asked in the hall.

"Right here Stefan." Shelby said walking into the hallway to find him. "Mum it was really dark." Stefan sighed.

"I'm sorry about that." Shelby said. She sat down holding him. "He's British." Jess awed. "Yeah." Shelby smiled.

"Its adorable." Jess said. "Thank you." Stefan said. "Where's Ruby." Shelby asked. We all realized she was gone.

"Ruby." Y/n called. No answer. "Maybe she went downstairs." I asked. "I'll go check." Y/n said. "I'll go check the backyard." Max said.

Adam and Jess staid here. "Found her." Max said. I wheeled to the backyard with everyone else.

She was playing with Galileo. "Thank god." Y/n said. "Where did you come from." I asked. "The basement." Y/n said.

"You spooked me." I said. "Sorry." Y/n smiled. Y/n walked up to Ruby and picked her up. "Don't ever do that to us again." She sighed.

"What do you mean." Ruby asked. "You scared us half to death." Y/n said. "Sorry I wanted to play with Galileo." Ruby frowned.

"We couldn't find you in the house." Stefan said. "You were sleeping so I went outside and saw Galileo." Ruby shrugged.

"I remember when we were little and Y/n would always be the sneakiest one ever she'd always be one step ahead of you." Adam smiled.

"I remember that." Y/n smiled. Y/n set Ruby down and sat down herself. "Look a shooting star." Y/n gasped.

Everyone looked up and saw it. It was getting closer and closer. "Shooting stars only show when its really dark." Jess said.

"Everyone in the house now." I said. Shelby picked up Stefan and Y/n picked up Ruby. We all ran inside and shut the door.

"Guys go shut all the windows I'll watch the kids." I said. Everyone left to all the rooms. "Stefan Ruby follow me." I said.

They followed right beside me. "Go down there and hide near the water." I said. The sirens went off outside.

"Daddy I'm scared." Ruby said. I stopped for a second. "I am too. Just go everyone will be ok." I said.

"How are you gonna get down here when your in the chair." Ruby asked. "I'll find a way." I said. "Now go." I said. They went down the stairs.

I grabbed some blankets and threw them down the stairs. "Stefan." Shelby called. "He's downstairs with Ruby." I said.

"I'll help you down." Shelby said. "No go they need a parent down there." I said. "Jess come on." I said.

She came back with a bag of food from the kitchen. "Good thinking now go." I said. She nodded and went down the stairs.

"Mommy." Ruby yelled. It was getting really windy out side. Then I heard a boom from my room.

I went to go check if anyone was in there. I saw Y/n on the ground with glass on the floor. "Y/n." I said.

I wheeled over to her and tried to pick her up. "Damn legs." I sighed. I finally lifted her up onto my lap.

"Y/n." Adam yelled. I wheeled back to the basement door. "Shelby Jess help me." I said. They walked back up and picked up Y/n.

She regain conscious. "Ross." She said. "I'll go get the others." I said. I looked out the window. It was gonna hit the house.

If not then a few blocks from the house. "Adam Max come on." I said. "Coming." Max yelled. I wheeled to the door.

I felt two people lift me up from my arm. It was Adam and Max. They put my arms around them. Then carried me down the stairs.

They sat me down on the couch. "Daddy." Ruby said. She ran and hugged me. "Mommy doesn't look good." She sniffled.

Another window broke and it got warmer. "I'll shut the door." Max said. "Y/n are you ok." Adam asked.

"Yeah the window broke and hit me in the head." Y/n said softly. "Wait where's Ross." Y/n asked.

"I'm right here." I said. "Thank god." She said. "Its ok Stefan we're gonna be ok." Shelby said.

I looked over and saw Shelby rocking Stefan. She had tears in her eyes. "Jason is Joseph and Julia ok." Jess asked crying into her phone.

"Krista are you safe please call me." Max said. "Alesa are you and Mason ok." Adam said. Everyone was on there phone.

Calling there loved ones. Y/n got up and sat next to me. "Are you ok." I asked hugging her. She nodded.

Ruby was standing still. "Ruby come here." I said. She walked over and sat in-between of me and Y/n.

"Thank god we're all ok." I said. "Cheese is gonna be here in like 5 minutes she was gonna surprise us by being here when Ross returned." Max said.

"Be careful." Jess said. "Of course. I'll wait for her at the door and grab more things." Max said.

"Max if you don't get back can I have your Xbox." I asked. "No Tim gets it." Max said. "Guys not the right time." Shelby snapped.

"Sorry." We said. Max went up stairs and shut the door. "The animals are scared." Ruby said. "What." Y/n asked.

"They know its gonna hit something close to them. They don't know what." Ruby said. She sat up and headed to the water.

"Ruby stay away from the edge." I demanded. It was silent for a minute. "I can hear them too." Y/n said.

There was a loud boom. "Max come on." Cheese said. "We forgot Galileo I'm not leaving him up here." Max yelled.

The door shut again and no one came down. "Guys what if Alesa and Mason get hit." Adam said. "They wont." Y/n said.

"I should of told you this but they're coming here." Adam said. "Adam they could get hit then." Y/n sighed.

"I know but Alesa said she'd be here real quick." Adam said. "Well if they're already on they're way then go." Y/n said.

"Make sure you don't get hit by anything." Y/n said. "Don't worry I wont." Adam smiled. "If you die I'll kill you." I said.

"Don't worry. Do you have a first aid kit down here." Adam asked. "Yeah why." Y/n asked.

"Get it then Ross try and stop the cut on her head from bleeding." Adam demanded. "What ever I'm fine." Y/n sighed.

Adam left. The house started shaking. Ruby screamed and fell into the water.
