Ross X Reader

Chapter 29

It quickly disappeared. "I-It was right there but now its gone." I questioned. "Ok maybe you should get out of the water now." Cheese said.

"Yeah I should probably do that." I sighed. I swam to the edge and got out. Then I dried off and stood up.

"Are you sure your ok. " Cheese asked. "Yeah just my powers acting up. It happened to me when I was pregnant with Ruby." I shrugged.

"Dinner." Ruby called from upstairs. "Alright be right there." We said back. We got upstairs and to the kitchen.

It smelt delicious like mac n cheese. Cheese and I grabbed a really big plate of it. Cheese sat next to Max. 

Max seemed to be in a really good mood. It made me feel happy to see Max and Cheese happy together.

Ruby didn't make that big of a mess. "Mommy when is daddy getting home." Ruby asked. "Not for a while sweaty." I frowned.

"When can we visit." Ruby asked. "In the morning." I smiled. She nodded and finished eating. Then went upstairs.

Usually she would sitting on the couch watching the bee movie. Since Ross had 3 DVD's of them. 

"I'll be right back." I said getting up. I walked upstairs to Ruby's room. She was sitting on her bed with the bee movie in her hands.

I felt really bad for her. "Ruby." I frowned walking over and sitting down next to her. "I know you miss dad. I do too." I said.

"Did I cause him to be in the hospital." Ruby asked. "What n-no it was just the wrong place at the wrong time." I said.

"Can I sleep with you mommy." Ruby asked. "Yeah of course." I nodded. She smiled and grabbed her plush.

"I'll be going to bed later. I have to finish my dinner." I said. She nodded again and walked to the bedroom.

I get that she cares for Ross more then me. He's her dad and an idol to her. Mainly the one who she is safer with.

I walked downstairs and finished up. "When Ross comes back are you going to tell him." Cheese asked.

I gave her a questioning look. "About the water turning into ice." Cheese said. "No I'm fine." I sighed.

"Your tail turning back to legs then the ice. Y/n that's not normal." Cheese said concerned. "What happened." Max asked.

"Nothing I'm fine." I snapped. I took a deep breath. "Sorry its been really stressful this week." I sighed.

"Mommy." Ruby called from upstairs. "I better go to bed. Ruby isn't taking the situation real well." I sighed.

"See you in the morning then. Good night." Cheese said. "Night." I smiled. I walked to my room and shut the door.

It was silent. I looked and saw Ruby sleeping. I walked over and laid down next to her. Then fell asleep.

Morning

I woke up to breathing. I opened my eyes and saw Ruby breathing fast. "Ruby what's wrong." I asked worried.

She couldn't answer. I picked her up and got up myself. "Max Cheese." I yelled. They came running into the room.

"What's wrong." Cheese asked. "I don't know she's breathing really fast." I said. "I'm bringing her to the hospital." I said.

"Ok lets go." Cheese said. "I'll go start the car." Max said. Then he ran down the stairs. Cheese and I followed.

"Ok Ruby try to calm down." I asked. "Do what I do." I said. I started calmly breathing. Ruby was trying but couldn't do it.

We arrived at the hospital. I ran in with Ruby. Then looked around for a nurse. "Ma'am what's wrong." ?? asked.

"Please help me my daughter something's wrong." I said. "Hand her to me." She said. I handed her to her.

Ruby reached out to me. "It's ok we'll take care of her." She said. "Please." I asked. She walked away into a room.

I walked to the front desk and signed me. "Are you here to see Ross Washington." The desk lady asked.

"No my daughter. But I would like to see him." I sniffled. "Yeah he's been awake for a while." She said.

"Ok thanks." I said. I walked to Ross's room tears in my eyes. "What's wrong." Ross asked. "It's Ruby." I frowned.

"What happened." Ross asked. "You know how she's been running out of breath lately." I said. "Yeah." Ross said.

"This morning I woke up and she was breathing a lot. I tried to calm her down but it didn't work." I sniffled.

"She's gonna be ok." Ross frowned. I nodded. "Y/n." Cheese said. I looked up and saw Cheese and Max.

They walked over. "Where's Ruby." Cheese asked. "A nurse took her." I said. "Hello Y/n y/l/n are you in here." ?? asked.

It was a nurse. The same nurse that took Ruby. "Is Ruby ok." I asked. "Yes nothing to worry about." She said.

"Where is she." I asked. "There are a few things you guys should know about her." The nurse said.

"Ok what is it." Ross asked. "Well she has asthma and low blood sugar." The nurse frowned. "Oh." I frowned.

Ross wrapped his arms around me. "She's back to breathing normal and good on sugar." The nurse smiled. "Can we see her." I asked.

"Yeah I'll bring her to you." She nodded. I took a deep breath and so did Ross. "This is not how I wanted the day to start." I sighed.

"Daddy." Ruby said. She ran in and to the bed. I picked her up and hugged her. "I was so worried about you." I sighed.

"I'm sorry I scared you." Ruby frowned. "Its ok. Look who I found." I smiled. "Daddy." Ruby smiled.

"Hey." Ross also smiled. She fell into Ross's arms. He grunted a little. "Sweetie be careful ok he's still a little hurt." I said. 

"Its ok doesn't hurt as much." Ross said. I nodded and sighed a little. "Sorry mommy." Ruby frowned.

"Its ok just be careful." I said. Ruby laid down with Ross. She must be tired from what happened this morning.

There was a knock at the door. "Could I talk to Y/n." ?? asked. I got up and headed to the door. The lady had some stuff in her hands.

Her name tag said Susan on it. "I came back with some things for Ruby." Susan said. "Oh ok." I nodded.

"Here is the prescription and inhaler for Ruby." Susan said handing me the stuff. Then explained everything to me.

It was kind a confusing but I could manage. "Thank you." I said. She nodded and walked off to do something else.

I walked back in and heard small talk. "So what did she say." Max asked clearing his throat. "I'll tell you later." I said nodding towards Ruby.

They nodded and stood back a little. I set everything down on the table. "The doctor said I can come home soon." Ross said.

"Really." I smiled. "Yay." Ruby yelled. "We better go Jess needs me at bluejay." Max sighed. "Ok see you later." I said.

"I better get to school before I'm late." Cheese frowned. "Bye." Ruby waved. "Ok see you guys later then." I chuckled.

Cheese isn't in school, school anymore its collage and what she wants to do with her future. Then they left.

"So when are you coming home." I asked. "Sometime this week I hope." Ross said. "Today." Cried Ruby.

Hey guys I'm only gonna work on this on the weekends or a few times a week. I have lots of stuff to do. Its Friday 3/31/17 so I don't have school. It was the end of 3rd quarter for me. Chapter 30 is gonna be 2k words since it is Chap30. It will take longer probably idk. Stay sad but not too sad.
