Chapter 16 The Baby

Y/n POV:

I wake up and forgot where I was. Then I saw Ross next to me on the hospital bed sleeping. I check my phone 5 am. "Hey your awake." Ross yawned. "Did I wake you." I asked. "No I woke up earlier." Ross yawned. I went closer to Ross for warmth. "Are you cold." Ross asked.

"Ya." I chuckled. "Adam brought some blankets." Ross said. I sat up and saw the blankets at the end of the bed. I covered us both and laid back down facing Ross. I gave him a kiss and fell back asleep. "Hey y/n wake up." Someone said. I opened my eyes seeing Adam.

"What time is it." I asked. "1pm." Adam says. I yawn and sit up. "Sorry to wake you but the nurse wanted me to." Adam sighed. I nodded. I looked over at Ross and saw him awake. I sat up and took a deep breath. "What's wrong." Ross asked. "Just a few more months." I sighed.

Ross gave me a hug from behind. "Hungry." Adam asked. I nodded. He gave me some food and I ate it. "I got to go back to the office." Adam said. "Its up to Ross if he wants me to stay here." I said. "I don't mind the company." Ross smiled. Adam left Ross and I just talked about baby names.

1 1/2 month later

I was at my office I had to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes I started to worry. On my way to Ross' office I felt a sharp pain. Everyone left except for me and Ross to get work done. Then I realized. "ROSS." I yelled. He came running. I start breathing quicker. "What's wrong." Ross asked.

"The....baby.....is......coming." I cried out. He helped me to his office and sat me down. He grabbed his phone and keys. Then helped me to the car. "I'm going to call Adam." Ross said. I nodded. "Just breath." Ross smiled. He dialed Adam and started the car. Driving the right speed,

Ross POV:

"Adam." I said. "What's wrong." Adam asked sleepy. He must of been sleeping. "Y/n she's having the baby." I say into the phone. "Ok I'll be there soon." Adam said. "Got to go." I said. I hung up and put my phone down. I held y/n's hand and looked at her. She looked really bad.

I started to get anxious what if she's not strong enough to make it. Or if something goes wrong. "Want me to turn on the fan." I asked. She nodded. I turned it on. A few moments later we made it to the hospital. "Ok only a little longer." I said. Y/n nodded. We made it inside. We went in the wrong door.

The back door. Y/n started loosing balance. "Help." I yelled. Then a bunch of nurses came running. I gave them the note Jess gave me. They read it and nodded. They grabbed a bed with wheels. "Ok Ross Jess told us that you would be coming some time. We will take it from here." ??? said. I nodded.

The other nurse took me into the waiting room. Where I found Adam and Alesa with Mason. "Hey Ross what's wrong." Adam asked. We were the only people there. "She was so weak. Her feet stumbled every few." I frowned. Then Adams face looked really sad. Alesa went on her knees.

"Even if she's weak there is a chance that she survives." Alesa smiled. Then she gave me a hug. I hugged back. I sighed and waited. After a while Adam and Alesa left they had their reason so I let them. It had been 3 hours. "How long does it take a mermaid to give birth." I asked myself.

"A day." ?? said. I looked behind me. It was an old lady. "How do you know." I asked. "Had 2 of my own." She smiled. The lady sat down next to me. "Early twenty." She asked. I nodded. "We are both 21. Her brothers one of my best friends and boss." I sighed. "That's what happened to my sister." She chuckled.

We talked for a while until my name got called. I looked up at the nurse and back at the old lady. But she was gone. I don't know where she went. I got up and walked with the nurse. "I didn't notice till now but your a human not a merman." ??? said. "Is that a problem." I asked.

"No in fact this is the hospital that she was born in." ??? smiled. "I didn't know that." I smiled. "Would you like to see your daughter." ??? asked. I nodded and smiled. She brought me in a room where y/n was. "Leave y/n alone she is resting. We gave her tail back." ?? said.

She looked mad. "Thanks she said that she wanted it gone till the baby was born." I sighed. "Can I make a call in here." I asked. She nodded and left. I called Max. "Max." I whispered. "Where the fuck are you." Max asked. "At the hospital." I whisper.

"Why the fuck are you in the hospital." Max yawned. "Y/n she had the baby." I smiled. "Ok Cheese, Tim, and I will be there soon." Max says. I hung up and walked towards the baby. She started crying. I picked her up and cradled her. "Shhh." I whispered. "Daddy's here." I smiled.

She stopped crying. "Ross." Y/n said weakly. Y/n looked at me and the baby smiling. "Cheese Max and Tim will be here soon." I said. "What about Adam." Y/n asked. "They went back to there house." I sighed. "What time is it." Y/n asked. "Like 4am." I smiled. I walked over and sat on the bed.

"She has your face." Y/n smiled. I looked at her eyes and back at y/n's. "She has your eyes." I smiled. Y/n looked like she was about to fall asleep. I gave her a kiss and got up. Then sat back down but instead on a chair. "Ross." ??? whispered. I looked at the door and saw Max, Cheese, Charlie, Zero and Tim.

The little ones didn't have to come they had school in a few hours. I stud up as they all walked up to me and the baby. "She's so adorable." Max awed. "Ya she is." I smiled. "Can I see." Charlie asked. I bent down and allowed her to see. "She's so cute. What's her name." Charlie asked.

I remembered y/n eye color. Then I knew it. "Ruby her name is Ruby." I smiled. "That's a pretty name." Charlie smiled. "Her aura is filled with happiness and joy." Zero said. "Zero's right Ruby will be a bright child but it can always fade." Cheese says. "Can we all have at least one happy thing in life." I asked.

Her aura I never new that they could sense a persons aura. "But hers is very low." Zero says. "Ross this is Zero 2.2 the other side of him. He can sense when someone's aura is low or bright." Cheese smiled. "You said something about y/n's aura." I asked.

"Yes it is weak and dyeing. But I can heal it." Zero says. He grabbed something from his pocket. "Let her drink this and she'll be fine." Zero smiled. "Let me hold her." Cheese asked. I handed her Ruby. I took the liquid. Then Zero went back to himself. "Welcome back Zero." Cheese said.

"Next time warn me." Zero snapped. Ruby started crying again. "I'll change her diaper for you." Cheese asked. "Thanks." I smiled. "If you ever need help with Ruby ask even if its for a night out with y/n." Cheese smiled. I nodded. "Tim your so quiet." I laughed. He shrugged.

"There is nothing for me to help you with." Tim chuckled. "Dude video games I'm not quitting. If Ty can then so can I." I smiled. "Hey Tim." Y/n said. "Yo." Tim said. "I'm still going to kick your but in mortal combat." Y/n smiled. "In your dreams." Tim laughed. We all started laughing.

"Where is Cheese." Y/n asked. Changing Ruby's diaper." I said. "I herd my name." Cheese said coming out of the bathroom. "Thank you." Y/n smiled. Cheese gave Ruby to Y/n. Then walked back to Max. "How are you felling." Cheese asked. "Fine I guess." Y/n shrugged.

"Sorry we got to go so quick Charlie and Zero have school in the morning." Max frowned. "I'll take them." Tim asked. "You sure." Cheese said. He nodded and they left. Now it was just Me, Y/n, Cheese, and Max. We talked and even laughed at things. Then Max and Cheese left.

It was know 7am. I was sitting next to the bed. "This is the life worth living." I whispered. "It sure is." Y/n yawned. "Go back to bed." I softly whispered. She nodded and fell asleep.
