Ross X Reader

Chapter 24

"Why mommy." Ruby asked. "Just stay calm." I sniffled. I looked around for something large and heavy.

I grabbed an object. It was very heavy. Then I stood up and walked towards the man. I hit him on the head.

It didn't do that much of damage. He turned around and held up his gun. This isn't how I planed it to go.

"Get on your knees bitch." He yelled. I nodded  and got on my knees. "Mommy." Ruby said.

She ran over and hugged me. I held on to her. "Ruby I said not to come over here." I frowned. I started crying.

Knowing that one of us could get shot. I held on tight to her. "Give me her." ?? demanded. "No." I whispered.

"What was that." He asked. "NO." I yelled. He slapped me in the face. "Listen you whore, you do what I say when I say it." ?? snapped.

"You don't own me." I snapped. Then he really looked like he was gonna shoot. "This will teach you." He said.

I closed my eyes and protected Ruby. Then a loud noise went off. "Mommy." Ruby asked. I searched for any wounds.

"Thank god." I gasped. "Your alright." I smiled. I looked behind me and saw some one pined down the guy.

I froze and didn't let go. Then there was sirens right outside. "Miss are you ok." Someone asked.

I looked up and saw a police officer. "I-Is he gone." I asked. He nodded. I looked at Ruby she was scared and questionable.

"Is your daughter ok." ??? asked. I nodded. "Do you have a boyfriend, husband or even a friend. I nodded.

"Good call them and have them meet you at the police station later today." ??? asked. "C-Could you please." I asked.

"Yes ma'am sure thing just bring it up on your phone and I'll call them." ??? said. I got out my phone still holding onto Ruby.

I dilled Ross's number and gave him the phone. He talked to Ross as I never let go of Ruby. "Mommy I'm thirsty." Ruby asked.

"Don't worry I'll get you something when we get home." I demanded. She nodded and frowned.

"I'm sorry about that sweetie." I frowned. "Bad man scary." Ruby questioned. "Yes he scared me as well." I sighed.

"Ok ma'am your boyfriend will be at the station waiting for you. But first we have some questions for you." He sighed.

"Y-Yeah of course." I nodded. "Ok lets go. You both will v=be riding in my car if you want." ?? asked.

"I'll take my car." I sighed. I got up and carried Ruby to the car. I set her down in her seat.

"No." Ruby wined. "What's wrong." I asked. She didn't seem to want to let go. "Its ok in a few minutes daddy will be here." I smiled.

She let go and cried silently. I wanted to bust out crying but I couldn't not yet at least. I shut her door and got in my seat.

I drove to the police station and got out. I grabbed Ruby and she held on. I looked around for Ross's car, there it was.

I walked in and opened the door. I looked around for Ross. He was talking to a police officer. "Ross." I said in a shaky voice.

He looked up and saw me. I walked as fast as I could. He walked to me and hugged me. Not letting go.

"Are you two ok." Ross asked. "Y-Yeah just shaken up." I smiled. I was happy to be here with Ross and Ruby.

Ruby wanted Ross to hold her now. I let him and he hugged her. A tear steamed down my face. "Y/n Y/l/n/ could you come with me." ?? asked.

I nodded and gave Ross a kiss and Ruby on her cheek. "I'll be back sweetie just wait here." I said with a smile.

Ruby nodded and rubbed her eyes. I walked away into a room. "Ma'am I will ask you questions then your daughter will after." ?? said.

I nodded. I looked to my left and saw the guy that saved me. He looked familiar like I've seen him before.

"I'm sorry but I forgot something I'll be right back." The police officer said. Then he left and locked the door.

"Y/n." ?? questioned. "What." I asked. "Do you remember me." ?? asked. "No but you look familiar." I sighed.

I wasn't really in the mood to talk. "It's me Tom from high school." Tom asked. He looked way different.

"Are you lining" I asked. "N-No we were best friends did everything together." Tom smiled. "Your face has changed." I smiled.

"What brings you here." Tom asked. "My brother Adam remember he's a big youtuber know." I smiled.

"Nice, now was it just your brother or someone else." Tom asked. "Someone else." I smiled.

"Who was it." Tom asked. "Ross remember him." I said. "Yeah." Tom nodded. "Well we got together a few weeks after I moved." I smiled.

Then my smile faded. "What's wrong." Tom asked. "Nothing just bad memories coming back." I sighed.

"You still look like you belong in high school." Tom smiled. "Thanks its been almost 10 years." I smiled.

"So who's the kid." Tom asked. "Ruby she's 4. Ross and I had her." I smiled. Then the door opened.

I looked at the table and nothing else. "Mommy." Ruby smiled. She ran over and hugged the chair I was siting in.

"Hey." I said. I picked her up and she sat on my lap. I saw Ross and smiled. "What brought you into the store today." Cop asked.

"I visited Ross at work because his job allows that. Then I got gas and was getting something for Ruby." I said.

Then he pulled out a box TV and played the tape in the store. "Is that why you went to the candy isle." ?? asked.

"Y-Yes." I nodded. "Mommy daddy look I'm on TV." Ruby cheered. "I'm sorry she's always wanted to be on TV." I frowned.

I just didn't want her to be on TV like this. "Ok about here why did you try and stop him." ?? asked.

"I don't really know it just happened." I questioned. He asked me and Tom more questions and we got let go.

We headed out the door. "Thanks Tom for saving my life." I smiled. I gave him a hug and let go. "Thank you Tom." Ruby said.

Then she ran to Ross and laughed. I waved goodbye and walked to Ross's car. "Could you take me home." I asked.

"Yeah sure but I'll have to use your car." Ross said. I nodded. Ross closed his door and we walked to mine.

I buckled up Ruby and sat down in the passenger seat. Then Ross started the car and we headed home.
