Chapter 22

We got off the boat and headed back home. "Hu Cho." Ruby sneezed in her sleep. "I hope she doesn't get a cold." I frowned. Ross felt her head. "She's burning up a little we better get back home quick." Ross said. I nodded and we picked up the pace. The coat was wrapped around Ruby.

I warmed it up again and sighed. My arms started hurting. "Ross could you hold her my arms hurt." I asked. "Yeah sure." Ross smiled. I handed her to him and folded up my arms. "We might want to buy some winter cloths for Ruby." I sighed. Ross nodded and we made it to the door.

I opened it up and we walked in. "We're back." I said. "Oh thank god." Cheese said. She came up and hugged me. "I'll put Ruby in her bed." Ross said. "Thanks." I smiled. He walked up the stairs and into another room. "Hey Cheese how are you feeling." I asked.

"What about you. You didn't come home." Cheese chuckled. "Yeah I know I'm sorry I must of fainted." I sighed. "Do you remember what happened." Cheese whispered. I nodded. "Parts of it." I sighed. "I fell asleep earlier and remembered some as well." Cheese said.

"I don't really want to think about it." I frowned. "Ok are you hungry I bought fish." Cheese asked. "Sure." I smiled. We walked to the kitchen and I sat down. "Hey y/n." Max said. He gave me a hug and I returned it. "I see you got home safe." Max said.

"Yep." I said taking a bite of shrimp. "You know I will never understand mermaids." Max sighed. "Its easy. Swim eat and survive from evil people." I said sarcastically. "Ha ha very funny." Max sighed. I laughed and so did Cheese.

"Well I better get to bed. If Ruby has a cold then I might be in for one big day." I sighed. "Ok see you in the morning." Cheese smiled. "Night." I said. They both said night and I went up to Ross and I's room. "Ross you in here." I asked. "Ya I was just grabbing something for work tomorrow." Ross said.

"Ok." I said. I was really tired and wanted to go to sleep. I grabbed some PJs and went into the bathroom to change. After I got dressed I went to see if Ruby was asleep. I walked back and put my dirty cloths in the landry basket. Ross was already in bed probably sleeping. I got on my side of the bed and fell asleep.

I wake up to the sound of someone crying. I look at the clock and it says 2am. I get out of bed and walk to Rubys room. The crying was coming from it. Good thing Max and Tims room was in the downstairs area. I flip the switch and see her on the floor. "Sweetie whats wrong." I asked. "I-I f-fell o-of t-the b-bed." Ruby cried.

I came sat down next to her and she went on my lap. She held her hand inside the other. "Here let me see." I said calmly. "No it hurts." Ruby sobbed. I gave her a hug and she finally let me see it. It swelled up a little but didn't look too bad. "Here watch this but don't do it unless I say you can." I said.

She nodded. I held out my hand on top of hers and used my cooling power. "There does that feel better." I asked. "Y-Yeah." Ruby smiled. I picked her up and laid her back in her bed. "Go back to sleep so we can have waffles in the morning." I smiled. "Ok." Ruby giggled. I smiled at her and shut off the light.

"Mommy." Ruby asked. "Yes." I responded. "I love you." Ruby said. "Love you too." I say. I closed the door a little and went back into the room. I got back in bed and was about to fall back asleep. "Babe what were you doing up." Ross mumbled. "Your sleeping go back to sleep." I said. Then it was silent. I put on some music on the lowest volume and fell asleep.

Morning

I wake up and look at the clock. 9am. "I wonder if Rubys awake." I questioned. I get up and head to Ruby's room. She was sleeping I shut the door fully and walk down stairs. No one was awake well besides Max, Ross, and Tim they were at work. "Morning." Cheese smiled. "Hey." I said.

"So what's for breakfast." Cheese asked. "Today waffles for Ruby." I sighed with a smile. "Does she know what a waffle is." Cheese asked. "Yeah she ate some before." I said. "Oh well I'm gonna have some as well then." Cheese said. "She's asleep." I smiled. "Oh I thought she would be awake at like 8 or 7." Cheese shrugged. "Yeah well we had an accident last night." I sighed.

"Oh no what happened." Cheese asked. "She fell off her bed." I sighed. "So that was the thud last night." Cheese said. "Did she wake you." I asked. "No Max and I were playing Supermarie bros till like 2:30." Cheese smiled. "Mommy." Ruby coughed. I looked up and saw Ruby.

I walked over to Ruby and picked her up. "Your up." I smiled. She nodded and yawned again. (I yawned) "Its time for waffles." I smiled. I didn't go to fast because she must of just woke up. "Pthluberry." Ruby asked. "I nodded and sat her down on a chair. Even though I don't rely remember what happened I'm still going to treat her as if I remembered.

I plop 3 waffles in the toaster. 2 for me 1 for Ruby. They popped up and scared. Ruby sgarted laughing and so did Cheese. I sighed and gave Ruby her waffles. Then I wondered. "Ruby have you seen Adam before." I asked. She shook her head. "Who." Ruby asked.

I took out my phone and showed her a picture. She shook her head again. "That's your unlce. He's very nice and has a son." I smiled. "I'll ask Max if anyone is doing anything special at work. Don't worry I won't tell them your going if you are." Cheese said. I nodded and she got out her phone. Ruby finished her food and got down.

"Let's go pick something cute to ware today." I asked Ruby. We walked up stairs and she went to her room. "Surprise." Ruby said. "Ok I'll go get dressed and we can surprise each other." I smiled. "Yeah." Ruby gasped. I smiled and went to my closet.
