I watched his eyes fall down to my wrist, and his breath stopped short. His fingers lightly ran across, pushing my sleeve up even higher. Calum and Luke froze, knowing exactly what Ashton was seeing. He looked up at me, tears in his eyes. "Who made you do this."
He struggled with the sentence, his voice cracking. He placed his hands on my shoulder, shaking me forcefully. I didn't answer. I didn't have time to. Luke and Calum had stepped in between the two of us, pushing Ashton away slightly.
His eyes were screaming in pain and guilt and I fought the urge to cry. This is what I've been doing to him. I've been hurting him this whole time and I didn't even care enough to realize. That's what you get for being a self-centered bitch, I warned you, and you didn't listen. Learned your lesson now, didn't you. Luke pushed Ash back again slightly, making him turn around and sit where Calum had just been, starring out the window.
Michael let out a loud sigh, catching my attention. He was fixated on my wrist, guilt obviously tearing into him too. I felt a tear fall down my face, landing on my arm, the warm feeling causing goose bumps. Calum and Luke looked towards me, obviously feeling responsible for the fact that Ashton found out this way.
"Ivy, you could've came to me." I didn't dare to look at Michael, I knew it going to make me feel even worse then I already did. "I know." He sigh again, louder this time. You couldn't even keep this quiet. The fans are right, you're ruining the band.
I took the risk to look at Ashton, seeing his eyes watching the rest of my body. "How bad?" I tried to play dumb, humming in response. "How bad is it Ivy?" I bit the inside of my cheek, whatever answer I give him, he isn't going to like.
"Not very." I avoided eye contact, he would know I was lying if I did. I heard movement and footsteps come towards me. I knew it was him, but I didn't want him anywhere near me. He wouldn't be afraid to strip search my body.
"Have you forgotten that I know exactly what you've been going through." I shook my head, of course I hadn't. "Then why do you insist on lying to me?" He lifted the right side of my shirt, revealing thin red lines of almost healed cuts. I glanced at everyone, seeing the same horrified look on their faces.
"Ash...," He shook his head, continuing what he was doing, lifting the other side of my shirt. He let my shirt down and look at me, agony pouring off of him. He hesitantly ran a hand down an undisclosed arm, messing with the hem of the sleeve.
I wanted to leave his grip and run as far as possible from here, anywhere that I didn't have to feel the pain I was causing him. He pulled the sleeve of my shirt, showing some of the last hidden cuts. He pulled it past the most recent injuries I had caused, and he knew it was from today.
He let go of me and fell to his knees, tears starting to fall. No one knew what to do exactly,In the entire time that I've know Ashton, I don't think I've ever seen him cry. And now I have. You broke him, just like I told you I would. Someone else took a step towards me, and defensively I moved away.
I have to get out of here. I looked at Michael and he could tell I was about to run, he reached out to grab me but he wasn't fast enough. I threw the bus door open, running towards away from the bus. "Ivy!" I heard them calling my names, begging for me to stop.
I didn't. I pulled the sleeves to my shirt down and kept running, getting as far away as I could, as fast as I could. I just kept running.
~~ASH'S POV~~
"Fucking shit," Michael threw something, causing Luke and Calum to exclaim. "Hey, Mike, chill." Luke always tried to defuse situations, though half the time it didn't work. Michael said something along the lines of 'fuck off' and sat on the couch.
I stayed on my knees looking, looking where Ivy once stood. My one true love. The person I wish to spend the rest of my life with. Someone I haven't been good enough for.
Someone placed a hand on my shoulder, "Ash man," Calum, just like Luke, always placating issues. I nudge my shoulder, moving his hand off. I stood up, looking at the three people that just witnessed me mortify Michael's sister.
"How did I not notice?" Michael shook his head, looking down at his hands. It wasn't just him, "How did we not notice?" My voice seemed to catch everyone off guard. I brushed my hands off on my pants and took at deep breath, looking at everyone else in the room.
My eyes landed on Luke, who was paler than a ghost. "Luke, what's wrong?" He tried to play it off, shrugging his shoulder, which only ended up making Michael suspicious. "Luke?" Luke looked at Calum who was turning red.
Whatever is going on, they both know. I crossed my arms, easily being agitated by the situation. "Calum, Luke, what the fuck are you hiding?" My outburst seemed to push them towards spilling, Luke starting to walk around the room.
"Well, you see, um, I, well we," Luke gestured between the two of them, still fumbling with words. I waved a hand in the air, cutting him off. "Process your words Hemmings." He nodded, taking a deep breath before continuing.
"Calum and I had knew Ivy cut." Michael slammed a hand against the counter, frightening them both. "What the actually fuck guys!" I refrained from speaking, I was upset, but I was fairly certain Michael blowing up on them was too much for them to handle, let alone both of us.
"Whoa whoa whoa, Michael, chill," Calum's poorly attempted him to stop and think, only pissing him off more. "No, you two, why? Why if you knew that would you keep this from me!" Luke messed with his lip ring, fear still pouring off of him.
"We wanted to Mike, but, well at least I promised her not to." Luke glanced at Calum quickly, obviously nervous that he threw Cal under the bus. Michael didn't care to hear what they said, he was beyond pissed.
Before they even had a chance to explain their sides of the story, Michael snatched his phone and took off out the door, loudly stating he was 'done with us.'
I turned towards Calum and Luke, taking in a deep breath so I didn't explode on them like I did Ivy. "When did you find out?" They looked at each other, silently deciding who would tell first.
"I, um, I figured it out when she asked to borrow my flannel." Luke lightly tugged at his lip ring, awaiting my response. I simply nodded, attempting to hide the state of pissed I actually was at the two of them. Calum sighed loudly and looked at the ceiling.
"I actually saw them, when me and her were sitting outside talking about how yo-," He trailed off, stopping before he said something obviously about me. I wanted to yell. I wanted to scream, and punch something. But more than anything I wanted to take Ivy's pain away.
The two people across the room from me gave me a bad feeling. They we both looking down, sitting like two puppies that just got scolded by their owner. I couldn't possible make them feel any worse, nor did I want to.
"Just, you two should've told me." They nodded, still looking down. "I could've helped her, you know?" They nodded again, but I wasn't going to engrave this situation into them anymore. They obviously felt bad enough.
I looked towards the door and let out a heavy sigh. "I'm going to look for her, you two should go look for Michael." They nodded, Luke standing up and awkwardly placing his hands in front of him as he followed Calum out.
I held back a few minutes, until I was certain they were gone. All the anger I had finally built up enough, causing my fist to collide violently with the wall. "God fucking damn it." My rage left a deep impression in the wall and placed an ache into my hand.
How did I not fucking see it? All the opportunities I had to recognize it and I didn't. I should've noticed last night, if on no other occasion.
I let out a loud sigh, irately slamming my head against the wall behind me. And where is she now? I made her leave, I yelled at her when I only wanted to yell at myself. I didn't get to help her, I pushed her away even after I found out.
"What am I supposed to do?" I spoke to no one but myself, but the question was a very real one. I had no idea where to look for Ivy, let alone a way to coerce her back. "What have I fucking done?"
~~IVY'S POV~~
I slowly walked up to the door of the bus, second guessing my return. I just need my makeup bag, really only the hidden object in the front pocket. Was anyone here? I tried to peak into the windows of the bus, but the shades were closed. Great.
The lights didn't seem to be on, but I might as well be sure. I reached up at the door and knocked hard, 4 or 5 times, and took off around the front of the bus. I waited, listening to hear the door open, it didn't. I let out a sigh of relief, walking towards the door.
I stepped inside the bus, instantly looking at a huge dent in the wall. What the hell? I ignored it, walking over to my still packed bag. I could just take it, and leave, and then I wouldn't be a problem for the boys, right?
Stupid girl, then you'll cause other problem by not being here, what will they tell their fans? There is only one way to not be a problem. I closed my eyes tightly, pleading with my head to stop telling me these things, because one day, I'm going to listen.
I grabbed my bags, and started walking towards the door. Before I reached it, the door swung open, Luke and Calum at the bottom of the steps. They both slowly looked up, landing their eyes on me, and then my bags.
"You're leaving?" Luke questioned nervously, watching me tightly grip my bags. I nodded, the two of the walking up the steps, towering over me even though they were a step lower then me. "Do the others know?" I hesitated, not really wanting to answer.
"So no?" Calum stated dully placing his phone in his pocket. I nodded, looking past them to the exit. "You can't just leave Ivy, it's not right." I looked at Calum, it's not like he's going to stop me. He placed a hand on my arm. "You need help, help you aren't going to get back home."
"What are you saying Calum." Defensively, I pulled my arm back, not liking where this conversation was going. "You need professional help." I shook my head and took a step towards the door, bags in tow. "Get out of my way."
Luke nervously shuffled his feet, but neither of them moved. I shook my head and tried to push the two of them, but it had no effect. "Calum, Luke, move now." I used all the strength I had to move them, causing I small enough gap that I was able to squeeze through. I busted out of the door, looking back to see if the were following.
They weren't they were just watching, but I guess I should have been looking forward. I felt someone grab me and pull me off my feet, the sudden change making me scream.
"Help!"
