Epilogue

Emily POV

"Alex! It's just a school reunion. I don't have to wear something sexy." I exclaimed to my best friend.

After I graduated high school me and Evan broke up. I was staying in California, but he wanted to go to New York. We couldn't do the long distant thing.

"Somebody special might've there though." She said winking at me. Alex stayed with me and went to school with me.

"It's not that big a deal Alex...he probably moved on already." I said.

"Well you haven't. You still wear his ring and you haven't gotten yourself a new boyfriend and we just graduated college." She exclaimed to me helping me to do my makeup.

Every senior class has a reunion after they graduate collage.

Alex finished getting me ready. I had a black dress on with a sweetheart neckline. It came a few inches above my knees. It had a pair of black heels.

There was a knock at the door. We went downstairs and Austin was at the door.

He went to school close to us, so Alex and him started dating.

"You guys look great." He said. He kissed me on the cheek and then he kissed Alex. He lead us out to his car and we drove over to the school. We got out and walked into the school.

Nerves started to bubble up inside. I haven't seen Evan in 4 years. I walked in confidently. We went to the gym where there had the reunion set up.

I walked in and looked around I didn't see Evan anywhere, but I saw Hayley. I ran over to her. She went to an out of state school, but I saw her in summer and we always talked.

"Em!" She exclaimed. I hugged her.

"I missed you so much, but now we finished school." I said back. We talk for a bit then everybody looked towards the door.

Evan.

He looked the same with his black hair and blue eyes. He had no girl with him like I thought he would. He looked around and then his eyes met mine. He started walking towards me. My breath hitched.

"Hey." He said. I looked down at my feet, but I noticed a familiar looking ring on his finger.

"Hi." I said shyly.

"Em. Look at me please." He begged. I looked up into his blue eyes. My heart broke. He grabbed my hand and pulled me into a hug.

"I don't know how I ever left you." Evan said into my shoulder.

"Please never leave me again." I said.

"Hey. I promised that I would always love you and care for you. I'm still wearing the ring." He said. I laughed and pulled away from the hug. I smiled at him.

"I haven't taken it off since that night."

He smiled and pulled me to him. Our lips connected and moved in sync. I pulled away.

"I love you Evan." I said.

"I love you to Em...and I never stopped loving you. Please never let me leave you again." He said.

And he never left me again.

5 years later
Emily POV

I ran upstairs to the sound of Caleb crying. I rushed into his room and picked up the little baby. He had light blonde hair and bright blue eyes. I held him tightly to my body and walked him downstairs. Evan was in the kitchen eating before he went to work.

He helps his mother's successful business. I walked over to him and I handed Caleb to him. He smiled at the baby.

"You giving your mommy a hard time little guy." He said. I smiled at my two boys together.

It was all I ever needed in life.
