Tired, having struggled to get a six year old Sehun to sleep, I made my way back to my room, slumping down into my bed the second I could, letting out a sigh.
"I see taking care of my brothers is as exhausting as I remember." Mee-Yon said from the small desk by the window, looking at the papers I had sprawled across the wooden table top. "Wow, I never would have thought you'd know so many spells. I learned my first spell when I was sixteen, but it was almost a decade until I learned another one." She said, examining each paper.
"I have only just started learning spells, but I'm a quick study." I admitted, and she smiled.
"You are just like her." She said, as if remembering someone from her past, but then she sighed.
"What do you mean?" I asked, and she looked over at me sadly.
"My daughter...you are just like her." She answered. "She would have loved to meet you. She is named after you by the way."
"What? You named your daughter after me?"I asked, a little shocked.
She smiled. "Yeah. You were such an important role in my life, so it was only fitting." I had a confused look on my face, and she laughed, her eyes sparkling happily. "You practically raised me, you were like a mother to me."
Mee-Yon stood and made her way over to me, sitting down on the bed beside me. "As of today, March 14th of 1830, I am two years old. Tomorrow is my birthday, and I'm going to meet my adoptive mom and dad for the first time." She smiled.
I looked over at her as she spoke, trying to imagine what she looked like as a the year old girl. She glanced over, meeting my eyes, and continued speaking. "In eight days, I'm going to meet you."

I stood just outside the front door, waiting nervously as the carriage made its way up to the mansion, and I could see Mrs. Evelyn looking out the window excitedly, happy to be home. The boys were still asleep, since it was early in the morning, so I wanted to be there to welcome them home.
The horse drawn carriage came to a stop down the short path from the door, and the coachman steadied the horses while Mr. Damon opened up the door, holding out a hand for Mrs. Evelyn to hold as she climbed out gracefully. Once she was firmly on the ground, she turned around to face the carriage again. I watched as she lifted a young girl from inside, holding her in her arms, carrying her up the path. It was Mee-Yon.
She was in a dark blue dress, her dark brown hair falling to her shoulders, a black bow tired in her hair. She was looking around at everything, as if it was her first time opening her eyes, taking it all in, awestruck. I watched her as Mrs. Evelyn walked towards me, a sleepy smile on my face.
"Welcome home Mr. Damon, Mrs. Evelyn." Miss Kim said from the doorway, and I jumped, I hadn't heard her behind me.
"Welcome back. How was your trip?" I asked, and Evelyn smiled wide.
"It was amazing. Damon's family was very kind, and we found a beautiful little girl to become the next addition to our family." She replied, then looked down at Mee-Yon who was still taking in her surroundings. "This is Kim Mee-Yon. She's a little shy though."
I smiled to Mee-Yon, and she looked up at me with wide eyes, studying my face carefully. Then she reached a hand out towards me, leaning away from Mrs. Evelyn.
"Oh, she wants you to hold her." Evelyn smiled, and placed her in my arms. "She likes you already."
I froze in place, unsure of what to do. I hadn't expected to be so close to the four year old Mee-Yon just yet. Looking down at her, my eyes met hers, and they were a warm brown, just like mine.
