Ch. 46

I sat by the pool, watching In-soo joining his uncles in a game of tackle, splashing around the pool with shouts of excitement. Looking across the pool, I couldn't help but smile as Xiumin played with Hari and Chanyeol played with Hyemi under one of the umbrellas we had set up to block the sun. They seemed so happy playing with their nieces.

"I'm glad you suggested this." Tao said from beside me. "Even if the reasoning behind you doing so isn't very positive, this is something we really needed."

I nodded. "Its a nice way for Suho to catch up with you guys. Tori also needed a chance to get to know everyone. And your brothers have been dying to play with the girls, so that's a plus."

As I spoke, Tao took my hand and stood, pulling me to my feet. "Come on, let's go inside for a bit." He smiled, and led me in the back door, the two of us quietly slipping away from the others.

"Where are we going?" I asked, but he just kept smiling.

"I barely get to spend alone time with you anymore." He began as we made our way through the living room and upstairs. "Either we're being attacked by Daehyun, someone's in a coma, my brothers are getting in the way, or Hari and Hyemi need fed or changed. I want you all to myself for a little bit."

My cheeks grew pink as he spoke, opening up the bedroom door and pulling me inside after him. As soon as the door was closed, his lips were on mine, and I wrapped my arms around his shoulders.

Mee-Yon's P.O.V.

The doorbell rang, and I quickly teleported to open it, letting in Namjoon, Jimin, and the others. "Hey, you made it." I smiled.

"Of course we did. Wouldn't miss it for the world." Jimin smiled, but I could see than Namjoon and Yoona were a little more hesitant. Yoona was looking past me, and I turned to see that she was staring out at Hyuk and Ravi, who were out by the pool.

She was the last one in, and I gave her a small smile. "You don't have to worry about them. They can't hurt anyone. I made sure that Luhan blocked their powers while they are inside the house's barriers while were all here. They know how uncomfortable they make you and agreed to it for the day."

"They let you?" She asked, a little skeptical. I nodded in reply, and she sighed. "Okay..."

Jungkook smiled. "They want to make up for what Caroline made them do." He began. "They can't make you human again, but they can at least try to get you to not be afraid of them anymore. Trust them, they really do mean well."

Yoona hesitated, then gave a small nod, stepping inside. We all made our way to the back yard, and I watched as Hyuk went from laughing and smiling to being completely still, able to feel the presence of the girl he had turned almost a year ago. I opened the sliding glass doors for them, and I saw Yoona and him make eye contact.

As soon as it happened, she looked away, following Namjoon to the opposite side of the pool. A small smile came to my lips when I saw her glance over at Hyuk, the two making eye contact again, and she gave a small wave. Hyuk smiled widely, happy to see a friendly gesture for once. I also caught the small smile that Yoona gave in return.

"Mee-Yon." Jimin called. "Where's Khristi?" He asked, and I looked around. Now that he's mentioned it, I hadn't seen her in a while.

"I'm right here." She called from behind me, and I jumped. Turning, I saw her smiling, holding a couple cold bottles of water in her hands. "Sorry, I got a little thirsty, so I went to get these." She said, and stepped outside, giving a bottle toTori, then Natasha, who was watching the twins while Chanyeol was swimming, Xiumin havi g started up a conversation with Leo and Ken.
