They all went pale at his name, and Namjoon took a deep breath before speaking. "Yoona, stay here with them, we're going to go help get rid of Daehyun."
"Namjoon, I want to help out there." She replied, rising from where she sat on the couch, but he shook his head.
"No, it's too dangerous." He answered, pulling on his shoes by the front door.
"Exactly, and you can use all the help you can get, so let me come with you. My ability-" Yoona began, but Namjoon cut her off.
"Your ability is still too unstable. If you mess up, you could kill Natasha or one of the guys." He explained, and she went to argue again, when he spoke once me. "Or us..." he sighed. "We'll be fine, just make sure you keep Khristi and In-Soo safe until we get back. Please." He asked, and hugged her, his purple hair shining in the light of the room.
Yoona hugged him tightly, and gave him a nod. "Okay." Watching the two of them, I couldn't help but notice Namjoon's eyes flash blue, but they were in such a rush I couldn't ask what he saw. All I knew is that he looked over at me sadly.
With that, they left, and I let out a nervous sigh. Tao and his brothers will be okay, Daehyun is severely outnumbered, they can defeat him easily, right?
"Khristi." Yoona spoke, bringing me out of my quickly darkening thoughts "Give me your hand. Let's get you to the bathroom, you look like you're about to vomit." She said, holding her hand out to me. Taking her hand, I carefully got to my feet, In-Soo helping assist me down the hallway, through Yoona's bedroom, and to the bathroom.
Although teleporting made me feel terrible, it wasn't as bad as last time, but I still barely managed to keep everything down. I sat in the bathroom though, just in case my body decided it was time to get rid of my lunch. In-Soo sat across from me, leaning quietly against the sink cabinet, starting at the ground blankly. Every time I look at him, I am surprised when I remember that he wasn't even born a year ago, despite looking like an eight year old child. I felt a small kick inside me, and I couldn't help but smile, even if the happy expression lasted only a second.
Sighing, I moved over to sit beside In-Soo, and ruffled his hair gently. "Don't worry, your mom and dad are going to be fine." I told him, and he glanced up at me, his big brown eyes the same as his fathers.
"But aren't they fighting Mee-Yon's father-in-law?" He asked. "I heard mommy and daddy talking about him before, about how he has scary powers and is really strong. What if th-they get h-hurt a-and-" He continued, only for tears to come to his eyes, his voice wavering.
"Oh, don't think like that." I said, pulling him over to me, hugging him as he began to cry. "Your mommy and daddy are way stronger than Daehyun. They can take him down no problem, plus, all your uncles are there to help, and then there is Namjoon and the others who went to help. Do you know what that means?"
In-Soo wiped his eyes, drying the tears that slipped down his cheeks. "W-What?" He asked, sniffling.
I smiled, fixing his messy hair, tucking the light brown strands back into place, just like Natasha does. "That means there are twenty people there to protect your mom and dad. There's no way they will get hurt. They are all working together to protect us and our family, and they are protecting each other too." In-Soo nodded, but didn't say anything. I sighed, not sure what else to say to make him at least a little less worried. As I tried thinking of something, the baby kicked again, and an idea came to mind.
"You're also helping protect our family too. Did you know that?" I smiled. At my words, he looked up at me, a little confused. "You're protecting me and your baby cousin."
He looked down at my belly, then back up to me. "Really?" He asked, uncertain.
"Yup. You made sure we got here safe, and you helped me to the bathroom since I was feeling sick. You're taking really good care of me. Tao will be happy to know you looked after me." I smiled, and In-Soo did the same.
