My eyes fluttered open, and I found myself slumped over the desk in the study, my head resting on top of the book Luhan wanted me to look through. Apparently he had found a chapter about regaining memories, but I couldn't find it, no matter how hard I looked.

My stomach growled loudly, and I stood with a sigh, making my way to the study doors, pulling them open and stepping out. The problem was that I didn't step out into the hallway, I was in a dark, unfamiliar place, the only light around me being the glow of the burning embers on the ground at my feet.

Looking around, I could see the ruins of a house, the entire building burned to it's old, crumbling foundation. "T-Tao?" I called out, afraid of what had happened to the mansion, of what had happened to him.

"You're not in the mansion anymore." A girls voice sounded, causing me to jump, and I spun around to see a girl about my height, auburn hair falling in waves to her shoulders, standing among the ashes."You're seeing how the future looks as of right now."

"What?" I asked, glancing around, horrified at the thought of this being the future. Everything was gone, dead, and dark. "How is that possible?" I asked.

"We used the relaxed state of your mind while you slept to project this setting into the past, to you." Another voice sounded, directly to my right, and I turned to see the same girl, only she had long, straight black hair.

"Who-" I began, but a hand was placed on my shoulder, causing me to flinch and forget my own words.

"Let's not worry about that right now, okay?" A muffled yet familiar voice sounded, and I turned to see a woman in a white mask, her eyes glowing sky blue. She's the one causing the strange dreams Tao had been warning me about. "That's not what we brought you here for."

"Then what did you bring me here for?" I asked, glancing over at the two girls, the twins, hesitant.

"This world is dark and full of death." The woman began. "It is the result of one person's failure to act..." She said, glancing over at me.

"What's that supposed to mean, and why'd you look at me like that?" I questioned, confused.

"If you had the choice to save everyone's lives in exchange for your own, would you?" The black haired girl asked, stepping closer, waiting for an answer.

"I..." I began, but I couldn't give a straight answer without sounding like a terrible person. Everyone's lives for mine?

"She means, what if it was your family? Tao, Jimin, Mee-Yon, your baby?" The auburn haired girl asked.

"Even if I can't remember them, I'd still die protecting them." I replied firmly, able to give a certain answer this time.

"Are you sure?" The masked woman asked, seeming a little saddened by my reply.

"I don't want anyone else dying because of me. Suho was one person too many, I don't want to add anymore names to that list. If I can save all of them, even if it meant giving up my life, I'd do it." I replied.

The woman nodded, glancing over at the girls, then sighed. "I suppose that is enough for now." She said, and turned away.

"But she hasn't promised to-" the auburn haired girl began, but the black haired one shook her head.

"We should go, she won't agree if we push her." She said. "For now, let's just hope she can be steered in the right direction."

The auburn haired girl sighed, then gave the others a nod, turning away from me. "I hope she chooses correctly, because this is what happens if she chooses wrong." She said loudly, on purpose so that I could hear her.
