"Oh my god." I gasped, and quickly cleared off the glass coffee table by the white sofa. "Set her down here." I ordered, rushing to the cabinets, digging around for anything that would help. All I could find were bandages and disinfectant, which wouldn't really help when she was bleeding out all over the place. The bandages could be used to wrap around the minor cuts on her body, but not the gaping hole in her chest.

Sehun sat on the floor beside her, tears running down his face, his eyes terrified. "Khristi, her heart won't keep going much longer." He warned, on the verge of panicking.

"I'm working on it." I said, pulling out the bandages and disinfectant. "This is all there is."

Sehun shook his head. "No, there has to be more. There has to be something we can use to save her." He said, his voice rising to a yell. I could hear the wind picking up outside, scratching against the sides of the mansion.

"Calm down, please. We can't save her if you blow us away with the tornado you're making outside." I told him, and he gritted his teeth, his hands clutched into fists.

"I can't. She just jumped in front of me. I cant figure out why. I have only been a jerk to her since we met, but she's dying because she tried to save me." He said, back on his knees, right by her side.

I groaned, frustrated, pulling at my hair. I didn't know what to do, I'd never had to save a person's life before. Lay is always around to heal people. I can't-

Actually, I can. I have the power to heal, and I have a need to use it. I dropped everything I was holding to the floor at my feet and rushed over to Tori, having to move Sehun out of the way.

"What are you doing?" He asked, his voice straining to hold back a sob. "How do you expect to help her with nothing?"

"I have something, I just have to get it to work, okay?" I explained, pushing him back again so that I had room to try and heal her. "Give me some space."

Sehun backed away, looking down at Tori worried, then up to me. "Save her. Please." His voice was barely a whisper.

I looked down at her, seeing the pool of blood beneath her growing larger with every second that passed. Closing my eyes, I held my hands out above her, picturing her wounds closing up and color returning to her pale skin. It took a while, but I finally felt the strange sensation in my arms that came when I used my powers. Flashes flodded my mind, memories returning to me. The first time I had seen Lay use his power to heal me after someone had bit me. All the times we sat in the library discussing book we had read. Him teaching me to use our power and my helping him heal the others. The room began spinning around me, and I struggled to stay standing, feeling like something was pulling me back.

"Why isn't it working?" Sehun asked, and I opened my eyes to see that nothing was happening despite my veins and eyes glowing silver. "You're supposed to be healing her. Why aren't you healing her?" He asked, raising his voice as he started panicking again.

"I'm trying to, okay?" I yelled back, starting to panic myself. "It's like she won't let me."

"That doesn't make any sens-" He began, but I cut him off by putting my hand in front of his face, instantly healing the cuts on his face. I moved on to his shoulder, healing that, then continued healing him until he was uninjured. I then turned back to Tori and did the same, but her body refused to heal, no matter how hard I tried.

"It's. Not. Working." I told him, and he shook his head, letting it fall into his hands.

"Why?" He asked quietly, sinking to the floor. "Why did you save me? You're such an idiot. Now you're hurt because of me and I can't help you. How can I go on knowing you died to save some ass hole who treated you horribly?"
