Chapter 30

I was excited to get to the dance. Some of my friends that were Seniors last years said that it gets crazy. "You excited?" He turned to me then back to the road. I had think for a while. "Yeah a little I guess." I said looking out the window. I wasn't scared but a little worried for me. I guess knowing what happened in my life and feeling that in awesome times something bad happens.

"Why do you sound so down?" Xavier seemed concerned for me. But why wouldn't he. I guess I was being a little paranoid. "Guess a little scared something bad could happen." I answered his question. He looked like if I was saying that HE would do something wrong. But I cleared it up. 

As we entered the the building many people really didn't care about us two walking in as a couple. So we just eased our way to the dance floor. Well we were in and there was no going back. "Hey let's go to the table where Selena is. Yeah."  I told him and he nodded. So we walked our way towards Selena and her date.

"Hey boys!" Selena shouted. "Hey Selena!" Xavier shouted while I was daydreaming about what college would be like. "Hello! Jax are you in there!" I saw Xavier wave his hand in my face. "Oh sorry." I responded at the sight of his hand in my face. Then I just looked around the room and began to panic.

"Help me! Help me!" I scream and got Xavier's shirt as I panicked."Dude get hold of yourself." Xavier told me pushing me harshly away from him. "Xavier he is having a panic attack don't push him harsh;y. Gosh!" I could hear Selena's screams over mine. "Well I didn't know!" I heared Xavier yell back at Selena but before they could help me I was running away.

I felt like I was being chased by everyone that I have done wrong or hurt me. Those people were: Zande, Skyler, Larry (ex-dad), Mom, Dorthy and her family, and Xavier. "I am being chased!" I told a cop. But he looked back and said no one was there. Then I turned to look and he was right. NO one was there. "Sorry I guess I was hallucinating again." I began to walk back to the dance. 

As I had fun at the dance I was scared to show Xavier what I got from my drawer. "That was fun!" Xavier looked happy. "So we will go to the hotel we had checked for tonight and then you go home right Selena?"  Xavier really wanted this night to be special. So I looked around and saw that Zander starred our way. I looked back at Selena and John, her date, and continued the conversation.
