Chapter 38: The Finale

As we drove to the airport everyone had fallen asleep, except for Grandpa since he was driving. "We're here kiddos!" Grandpa yelled to wake us up. We were startled being honest. "W-what?" Xavier said. I was as confused as he was. "We're the airport dummies." He teased us. And that is when we jumped out of the car and into the airport. 

I was almost in until I remembered something. So I ran back to the car. "I'll miss you Grandpa." I hugged him before I left. "We'll miss you as well Jax." He said as he hugged me back. So I sprinted back into the airport. "Ready?" Andrew said. I just nodded. 

As we went thru airport security I was excited to get to Florida. "Next!" I heared the security guard yell out. So I walked thru scanner. "Your good." He said as I got my stuff. So we rushed our way to our plane. "Hurry only two minutes left!" Selena said. So we ran all the way. 

We were out of breath once we got there. "H-h-here y-y-you go." We all said as we handed the nice lady our tickets. "You can pass." She said. "Thank you." We all walked into the plane and took our seats. "Ready." Xavier pushed me playfully. I nodded and smiled. "Lets go."

I never expected for the flight to be so long. I looked over at Xavier to see if he was awake but he wasn't. He was deeply asleep. So I just sat back in my seat and enjoyed the ride. Before I knew it we had landed in Florida. "We are in Florida at this time." I was finally happy we had gotten there. 

"Xavier we are here!" I shook him awake. I looked worse than a child. "Huh?" He said. I pointed out the window. "We are here come on. What are you two waiting for?" Selena said. "Oh sorry." Xavier said. I rolled my eyes at his reaction to Selena's words. "Okay.." I was abit confused to why he paid attention to her and not me. "Come on Jax. You are taking forever." He said. 

As we walked into the airport I had taken my phone off airplane mode I got a fast message. "Wow Zander texted me." I said. Xavier gave me a nasty glare and turned his head back to the forward. "Okay.." I said once again. I opened the message and saw that he had written:

Zander: PLease never text me or talk to me ever again. Please delete my number and loose the ring and forget about me. Bye Jax.

My heart sank. The words hurt more than anything. I could feel my eyes tear up and feel a tear fall down my face. And everything I have been thru with him. And everything we have done and our fights. Led to this moment. The moment were we aren't friends anymore.

I fell to my knees. I could see Selena run to me in my blurred up vision. "Jax. What happened?" She asked. I picked up my phone to show her the message. She looked down at me. "Why do you even care about it Jax?" She didn't know did she. So know I showed her the ring. "And what does that mean?" She asked me. I just looked down. Could I even explain it without tears. "Jax tell me!" She yelled at me. 

"This ring ment no matter what happened between us we were still connected in some way. Meaning we were still friends. So when he says loose the ring that means for me to forget our friendship and our connection. So it hurt when I saw it Selena that's why I care so much!" I got up and walked away from her. I could feel her eyes staring at me as I walked. But what was I going to do?

I looked over at Xavier and glared at him with a not so pleasant stare. He backed up. If he did love me he would've gone instead of Selena to help me. "Jax?" I heared his voice a bit closer. I turned to him. "What Xavier?" I guess he thought I was just having a midlife crises. But I wasn't.

"Why are you mad at me Jax?" I rolled my eyes. I couldn't look at him. Not even for a while without having an urge to slap his face. "Jax!" He yelled out for me but I ignored it. I continued to walk to the outside of the airport. "I want to be done with this life thing." I whispered to myself.
