Eva's POV
Dark brown hair with a few blonde specks, green eyes, with a cocky smile on his face. I admired Chris and his eyes looked up and down at my body. I blush at his actions and he finally speaks up.
"Hi, it's nice to meet you." His voice is deep but not as deep as Jonas'. He places out his hand and once I place my hand in his, he unexpectedly places a kiss to my knuckles. As his lips hit my pale skin, a tingling sensation runs throughout my body and makes me feel amazing unlike ever before.
"You're a first year right?" He says over the loud music. I nod because I know he won't be able to hear my mouse like voice over the music.
"Do you mind if we go somewhere a little more quiet? I don't really prefer to scream just to talk beautiful girls like you." He states with a wink and I feel myself go weak in the knees. He leads us over to a large set of stairs where no one is sitting. The music is quiet over here and it's nice to sit down since my feet have been aching in my combat boots.
"How are you enjoying the party?" He says while taking a sip from a red solo cup.
"Oh, well actually it's been pretty shitty but it's starting to get better now." I say with all honesty.
"Well I hope I'm part of the reason why your night is getting better." He says with a cocky smile and I nod my head while letting out a chuckle.
...
"I would have too!" I say as I laugh at Chris' story. He laughs as he finishes up his story about the first time he went to a party.
"Yeah so that's probably the most embarrassing thing I've ever done but I mean it's not the first time I've gotten kicked out of a party." He says with a cocky smirk. I can only imagine what he means by that and why his face has the sexiest yet cockiest smirk. He takes a sip from his cup which must be empty by now. I notice that the whole time he takes his drink, he looks at me with hungry eyes.
I look away and suddenly wonder where Jonas is. I haven't seen him in about an hour or two and the party was starting to wind down. I look around and see Jonas talking to Ingrid which automatically sets me into high alert. Chris looks over at what I'm looking at and speaks up about Jonas.
"Isn't that the guy who you showed up to the party with? Is he your boyfriend?" He asks casually, trying to understand the situation without being rude.
"Yeah, that my boyfriend and the girl he's talking to is his ex." I say while staring down at the marble steps of the grand staircase we've been sitting on. Tears threaten my eyes like always and Chris lifts my head up delicately as if I were a doll made of glass.
"Hey don't be upset Eva." He says with an uplifting smile to match his tone. I nod my head and as I do, I see Ingrid lay a hand on Jonas' chest while Jonas stares at the somewhat intimate moment between Chris and I.
Jonas pushes Ingrid out of the way and takes long strides to get over to us which doesn't take long. I can tell that Jonas is fucked up way more than I have ever seen him. He stumbles a bit and stares at me with fury in his eyes. I roll my eyes as he tries to shoot me a dirty look which makes him speak up.
"Eva, lets go." He growls at me. I act as if I didn't just hear him use such a harsh tone towards me and continue to look at Chris.
"Look dude, I get that she's your girl and all but we weren't doing anything wrong. She was just hanging out with me while you were flirting with your fucking ex in front of her. You don't deserve to be the one that is mad right now." Chris says with a calm yet serious tone. My heart flutters at him trying to defend me and I can't help but feel special that Chris was sticking up for me nonetheless.
"Um, did I ask for your fucking opinion? No. So get the fuck out of our conversation." Jonas spats at Chris. Chris looks at me and I plead with my eyes to not have him start anything. He nods and continues to stay quiet while I stand up. Jonas stands in my way and as he tries to lean in for a kiss, I barge past him and out the door.
The air is cold and it stings my skin as the wind blows harder and harder against my bare hands. Jonas follows after me and continues to yell my name repeatedly. I continue to walk on and eventually, he shuts up. We make it all the way to my house quietly before he says another word to me. This time when he speaks to me, it's vicious.
"If I ever catch you with him again, there will be consequences." He says while cornering me on my front porch. My heart drops in fear and yet tears don't threaten my eyes.
"Don't you ever speak to me like I'm your fucking property. I'm a human being whose emotions can't be played with Jonas." I spat back at him before rushing into my house and slamming the door on his face. I lock the door and let out a deep sigh that I was surprisingly holding for quite some time now.
...
I wake up to the sound of someone knocking on my bedroom door and speak softly.
"Come in." I mutter while rolling over to face the door. My mom walks in and I spring out of my bed to hug her. I smile into the hug and I am so happy to have her home once again.
"I didn't know you were coming home!" I say eagerly. She holds me tight and I reciprocate her actions.
"I got an early flight this morning but I leave once again tomorrow." She says with a tone of disappointment. We chat for a while before she tells me that she is going to lay down in bed. I nod and tell her that I'll be home all day. I smile once more to her and she heads off to her room upstairs. I take the liberty of staying on the main level of my house just so I can make sure she's okay and often check on her.
As I sat down and opened up my laptop to watch some tv that was on Netflix, I received a notification off of Facebook. I opened up the tab and scrolled down my page just to see what everyone was doing and then checked my notifications. I had two friend requests; Noora Amalie Sætre & Christoffer Schistad.
