"OH MY GOSH IT'S LIKE HEAVEN FOR AUTOMAIL ENGINEERS." Winry squealed, "Is that the new god model!"
"I say we should of dropped her by the station and headed straight to Dublith." Ed groaned as all three watched Winry happily ran from store to store.
"Hey, young man with the automail." someone called as they were walking, Ed instinctively looked back.
They grabbed his hand, "I'v never see automail quite like this!" suddenly Ed's top and pants were stripped from him and his automail revealed.
The people surrounded him, "HAVEN'T YOU PEOPLE EVER HEARD OF PERSONAL SPACE!" Ed shouted.
Storm stood at the side, smirking at the situation Edward got pulled into but refused to join the crowd. Suddenly a woman left the group and stared at him strangely then ran. He subconsciously felt for his hood and pulled it over his head. He remembered that during the war, Ishbalan men had taken over villages and towns before a stalemate had taken place and faintly remembered that this place was on it's list, the smirk left his face instantly, seven years and it still bothered him.
Ed's panicked screech halted his thoughts, he looked at Ed. "What's wrong Ed?" Winry questioned.
"I'v only lost the most valuable thing that every state alchemist must have."
"You lost your State Alchemist watch!" Storm was shocked, "What the heck were you thinking."
"Sound like you guys had a run-in with Paninya, she's a pick-pocket that steals from unexpected tourist." one of the engineers said.
"You know where to find her?" Ed asked.
"I know something that might jog my memory." Both engineers held up tools, planning to disassemble Ed's automail. Ed changed the metal hand into a blade. "Then again....."
That was how they found themselves walking on the mountain side. Storm was still not fond of heat in any manner and was silent through the journey. An argument between Ed and Winry had started but before he could stop it, silver flashed in a distance. He turned to watch and realized that Al had seen it to, or rather her.
"Uh guys..." Al began but was dismissed by both Ed and Winry.
"Well look to the bridge and see if you find something familiar." Storm butted in. Edward glowered when he spotted the watch in her hand.
"YOUR GONNA BE SORRY WHEN I CATCH YOU!" He screamed in anger and began making a pathway using alchemy.
"He's an idiot." Al, Storm and Winry said simultaneously.
"Al, see if you can get ahead of her." Storm called, "I'll carry Winry, and make sure Ed doesn't hurt someone." Al nodded and set of.
"You coming?" Storm and Winry were roughly around the same height, so Storm knelt for her to climb on his back.
"I can run you know!" Winry huffed.
"I'm not doubting you, it's just that it gonna be hard to jump from platform to platform." Storm assured her. He grinned at her drawled fine.
Once she was piggybacking, he set of as fast as he could without hurting her. "How on earth are you going this fast!" Winry screamed.
"Fast?" Storm asked "This is actually slow for me." Storm was remembering the days of using shunpo. "In Ishbal, I was trained to outmatch speeding bullets while carrying equipment heavier than you." If Storm had been able to look back, he would've see the sad look on Winry's face.
They raced through the valley until they saw a large wall, Storm almost froze as he remembered the wall that went up around Ishbal but he continued running in an other direction. They reached in time to see Al create a cage from alchemy.
"Nice work Al!" Winry complemented.
"You think that's all I have, you should of see this coming, I mean it's Rushvalley for goodness sake." Paninya said as she used a blade from her right automail leg to cut the bars from the cage. "And my left leg carries a bomb." It shot off, almost hitting Edward and Alphonse, Storm had luckily jumped out of the way. With that Paninya ran, only to be captured by Winry.
"Good Winry, don't let her go!" Ed shouted as he and Al ran toward her.
"Don't worry, I won't, not until I get to see that automail!" Winry gave fangirling screams while Ed and Al fell dramatically, Storm simply facepalmed from where he was standing.
Two people walked out of the house that was in front of them. "Friends of your Paninya?" the woman asked.
"Not really." Paninya answered.
So that's how they found themselves inside with Winry checking out Paninya's automail. "These designs are amazing!" Winry addressed to the young man.
"Oh no! I didn't make them-"
"I did." a man walked through the door way. Storm froze when he saw him, he was the man that rioted against the Ishbalans and killed three in the process. "Who are these people?"
"Oh just friends of Paninya." the pregnant woman answered easily.
"You boy, don't you know it's rude to wear a hood in a house?" the older man pointed to him. He realized that every one was looking at him, he rolled his eyes and pulled down his hood, he was sure that he was going to regret this. He face the large man and gasped as he was suddenly pushed against the wall, a hand holding his throat. Ed and Al moved to pulled the man away from Storm. "Mr. Dominic, w-what are you doing!" the woman's husband yelled.
"You're one of them aren't you?" Dominic growled, "If you dare cause any trouble, I'll kill you on the spot!" Storm panicked, he couldn't breath and the cloth around his neck had come loose.
"I'm not one of them anymore." Storm managed to choke out. "I'm an Amestrian alchemist." Damn I'm losing breath
" What, you've come back to our valley to kill more people!" Dominic challenged.
"You k-killed three of us, we never even touched your people." Storm stopped struggling. He gasped and coughed at the sudden air that rushed into his lungs. Someone called his name.
"You have one minute to leave this house, if you come back....." Dominic let the threat hang in the air.
"What are you doing, he's a normal p-" Ed's protest was stopped by Storm.
"Don't bother, I'm use to this, I'll be in the village if you need me." Storm's voice was rough. He didn't seem aware, but his collar had come off, and Ed, Al and Winry's eyes widned at the ragged scar that circled his neck.
"Let me see your automail boy." Dominic snapped the trio out of their stunned state.
Siting on the crate uncomfortably, Ed allowed Mr. Dominic to inspect his automail while thinking if Storm was alright
"That's some heavy automail you have there." Dominic interrupted his thoughts "Could be why your growth is stunted."
"HEY, I'M NOT SHOR- wait, you me if I use lighter automail, I'll be taller!" Ed was pulled into his fantasies.
Despite what happened, there was no denying that Mr. Dominic was a top-notch engineer so without a second thought, "Mr. Dominic, please take me as your apprentice!"
"No. Now its time you left you little fleabag." Dominic first addressed Winry then dismissed Ed.
"He called me a flea bag." Ed sulked as the man left.
"I wonder what Storm is doing in this well.... storm." Al hummed, Ed and Winry nodded.
Winry left with the thoughts of talking to Paninya while Ed and Al talked quietly to the pregnant, soon to be mother.
Minutes later, after giving a lecture to Paninya about stealing, she headed towards the door, in hopes of check in Storm.
Ed suddenly rushed in, "The bay.... the bay."
"A bay is a type of horse." Winry answered, confused.
"THE BABY'S COMING!" Ed shouted.
Winry freaked, "THE BABY'S COMING!?' They screamed together.
" We can't carry her in this storm, so I'll get the doctor." Dominic left on his horse.
They tried to get her comfortable, but freaked out once again as the soon-to-be mother screamed, "The baby's coming!"
Winry steeled her nerves but before she could say anything, the door opened. "We'll just have to deliver it ourselves." There was Storm without his coat and his hair slightly damp. What! came a chorused yell.
"We need towels, hot water, and ice chips." Ed, Al and Paninya left, "Sir, do you have any disinfectants?"
"Yes, it's in the top shelf of the left cupboard in the kitchen." Before Storm could leave Winry took the job of finding it.
"Paninya and Winry, please stay here, a laboring mother is more comfortable in the presence of her husband or woman." Storm asked upon their return.
"The rest of you, out." Al and Ed left.
"Lets hope she'll be ok." Al said, Ed hummed in response. They jumped and hugged each other as the mother let out a loud cry.
It was almost an hour later before Paninya stumbled though the door. "So much blood..."
Ed and Al were worried and rushed in, the sight that greeted them was one to remember.
"Awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome!" Ed shouted.
"Is that all you can say?" Winry muttered from her slumped position.
"Alchemist have been trying for hundreds of years to replicate life and have fail every time and for one life to bring another life into the world is a miracle!" Ed looked very happy.
"Is alchemy all you every think about?" Winry huffed.
"Occupational hazard."
"Hey Ed, do me a favour and make sure Storm hasn't passed out."
"I'm awake." A muffled voice came. Ed and Al turned to see Storm laying on the floor with his head resting on the wall, that had to be uncomfortable. Ed snickered, "Shut up, I can hear you." Al went over to pull him up.
A half hour later, the doctor arrived. He checked both baby and mother while Dominic outwardly glared at Storm who was leaning on the wall. A few minutes later the doctor announced good news, "Both baby and mother are in great condition, this was skilled work." he directed this to Winry.
"I didn't do much at all, it was mostly Storm who did the work." Winry protested, the doctor looked confused. "The one next.... um.. where is Storm?" everyone now realized that he was missing, even Dominic, who was hugging his first grandson.
"I went to get blankets for the mother and child." Storm walked in with a pile of blankets which he handed to the new father
"Say young one, do you have any medical training?" the doctor directed at Storm and he nodded. The doctor nodded for him to continue.
"Occupational hazard from fighting a war for most of my life." Storm seemed irritated, the doctor raised an eyebrow.
"There was a hurricane coming, it wasn't safe, Mrs. Gracia was a in labor with Elisa, one of us had left as well for the doctor, but it was to late, I used the practical training I had gotten from the female doctor in the military, today a healthy three year old girl is playing with her parents." Captain Unohana he thought.
"Is it possible to meet with her, this doctor?" the doctor asked.
"No." came Storm's rough reply, the others were surprised. "Don't understand me wrong, it's just that..... I haven't seen her since the war." Almost eight years from home.
"Oh." Came doc's short reply.
Storm sighed, "I'll be at the train station if you need me." with that, he left.
"It seems I was wrong about that boy." Dominic hummed, "However, I am deeply grateful for your help."
Ed took his chances, "Well, if you're grateful, how about taking Winry as an apprentice?"
"No, but I can recommend someone."
"Is it ok if I watched you work sometimes?"
"I don't mind you coming to see my grandson." at this, Paninya smiled widely.

Not long after the rain let up, and Ed's watch returned, Ed and Al bought tickets for the next train to Dublith.
"Come on, if we don't catch this one, the next train isn't due for three days!" Storm hurried alongside them.
Winry watched as Al jumped first and then Storm while holding Ed's right hand, Al pulled them up. "Remember to write to grandma!" Ed called.
"Like you're one to talk!" Winry laughed. She watched Ed and Al on the train and the new addition to this crazy family siting on Al's shoulder with one foot at his side.
"Well their gone." Paninya said.
"We haven't seen the last of them."
