Vadim looked up at the damaged building, beside him Alphonse dug frantically while calling out his brother’s name. soldiers were beginning to show up, they need to leave now. Vadim grabbed Alphonse by the space in his armour by his neck, “Your brother is a fighter, I’m sure he is ok, besides Ace will be with him, we need to go now or we will be caught by the soldiers and all of this would have been for nothing.”

Alphonse made a sound close to a whimper but still he stood. “Fine, I understood what you mean but I still hate you, remember that much. We head to Central.”

Vadim nodded in agreement, “We need to meet up with Yoki at the bottom of the mountain.”

“Wait, did you find Dr. Marco?” Alphonse turned to him.”

“Yes, Envy got to him before we did, he’s now under six feet under if that is any clarification.”

A loud ringing noise greeted him. Toshiro shot upwards in a sitting position. he gasped as pain tore through him. Greaaaat, he probably damaged a rib or two. He immediately checked all his limbs and sighed in relief to see all of them attached.

He stumbled to his feet, his knees slightly weak and balance hard to maintain because of the ringing in his sensitive ears. He limped through the wreckage of the building, following a powerful force. He finally opened his eyes, in the ground before him red glinted off. He kneeled to get a better look and hummed in surprise. It was a philosopher’s stone, must have belonged to the man who blew the building sky-high.

He pocketed it and continued walking, his slowly returning hearing could pick up sounds of talking, it was the chimeras and Edward. He rushed to the voices, the sight was horrific to someone not accustomed to blood and injuries.

The two chimeras were holding Edward, who lay on the ground in pain… a steel beam pierced through his stomach. “Release him!” he ordered, they looked at him, blood trailing from his mouth, hair low in a ponytail and browned from the dirt, clothes in disarray and smudged with dirt and they scoffed.

“What are you going to do?” the lion chimera laughed.

“S-shut it you two.” Edward groaned, “They’re trying to help me.” He turned to Toshiro.

Trusting Edward’s word, he walked and kneeled to Edward’s side. “We need to get this out or an infection can set in. I’ll have to heal him”

“Can you do that?” the chimera frog-like chimera asked.

“Mostly, I need you two to hold him down and get the steel out, can you do that?” the two nodded and moved into position, this was going to be hard, painful and heart-pressuring.

From his pocket, Storm pulled the stone and put it in his mouth, as must as he hated it, it would give him the energy he need to heal Edward without passing out, the damage was too bad.

“NOW!” they moved quickly, Edward yelled out as he scrambled for purchase before he passed out. The steel was out and tossed aside, Storm clapped his hands and a soft blue light surrounded him, the chimeras watched in awe. He placed his cold hands on Edward, directing his energy to the wound and effectively reknitting the injury together, his eyebrows creased and breathing became harder from the effort. The stone did not have much pure energy that he could use, too much of it was corrupted.

The blue light dimmed and Edward’s body relaxed. Toshiro slumped forward breathing hard and spat the stone in his bloody hand before wiping it in his jacket. “That was amazing, is he healed completely?”

“No, he still has blood loss, he needs a doctor.” He raised the face the two chimeras, and tossed them the stone, “I have an offer, this is yours if you could get him to a doctor, the state will also pay you handsomely for helping two of their alchemist, will you do it?”

“Edward basically saved our life, we owe it to him.” The frog-like chimera stated, “Besides, our own boss just tried to kill us, why not.”

“What about you?” the lion chimera watched him as he stumbled to his feet, spitting the blood gathering in his mouth.

“I need to head West.” He turned in the direction. “Someone owes me a favour.”
