Charles tried to out the fire by scoffing dirt on it but it was too late, they need to move. They hurried within the forest, to the darkness from the shade, shadows cannot from in darkness so Pride should not be able to get to them physically.

“HAHAHA! You think that will save you.” A dark voice echoed around them, they jumped in surprise, this was the first time they were actually hearing Pride’s voice.

“What do you want Pride?” Alphonse spoke up as he frantically looked around in the darkness to spot anything.

“What do you think genius?”

“Leave us Pride, there is no light here, you cannot get to us.” Hohenhime yelled to the darkness.

“That’s what you think….” Pride chuckled again. Ren gasped and he pointed up………. Oh no, they could see him that means…..of course tonight had to be full moon, nothing could ever go their way could it?

The shadows darker than black rushed at them, Alphonse moved to protect his father, that was all he remembered before the world turned white.

“Oh no, Alphonse, can you hear me?” Hohenhime shook his son’s armour. There was no response. Until the armour lashed out. Charles and Ren grabbed the back of Hohenhime’s coat and yanked him back just in time to avoid a metal fist to the face.

“HAHAHA, isn’t this more fun?” Pride cackled. The armour stood, from within the spaces, one could see alchemic eyes formed, Pride’s eyes to be more specific.

“What did you do Pride?” Hohenhime yelled as the trio dodged attacks frm the suit of armour that was once Hohenhime’s son.

“Isn’t it obvious?” the suit of armour spread its arms wide in a proud and haughty manner, very much unlike Alphonse. “I took over his body, it would be so boring to fight you when there was only light and I can’t hurt a human sacrifice, so I did the next best thing, well best for me anyway.”

“Alphonse snap out of this!”
Hohenhime tried to reach his son. The chimeras managed to pin the suit of armour but it was no use, Hohemhime’s voice could not pierce the depth of darkness to reach Alphonse’s supressed soul.

The fight continued for almost an hour, the moon continued to shine brightly. That was until the clouds rolled in, now was their time to move in. “I have him, Ren help me pin him down!” Charles yelled out, Pride could not move to to the lack of light but part of him was still within the armour, all they needed to do was flush out that part.

Hohenhime did something he never did in a long time, he raised his hand in the sign of a prayer and white sparks ignited from his hands. “Cover your eyes!” he yelled to the Chimeras before bilnding white light filled the area, Hohenhime raised his hand high before resting it upon the armour, the screech of Pride hiding from the pure light could be heard echoing throughout the forest. The alchemic eyes slowly burned away.

This was the power of a true alkahest mage. They used not only alchemist but they incorporated it with the pure energy of nature around them. Not many still use this method but it was still a sight to behold.
The screeches died down and Hohenhime outed the light in his hand as the moon came back into sight. “Alpshonse?’ he questioned cautiously, “Are you with us?”

“D-dad.” The trio sighed in relief as the chimeras moved from pinning Alphonse and

Hohenhime sat down hard.
“Thank goodness kiddo.” Ren laughed tiredly, “That’s quite the kick you have there.”

Hohenhime looked up from his hands. “The government has gone too far. No one messes with my son and gets away with it.”

“Then I guess we head to Central.” Charles stood before offering a hand to Alphonse and Hohenhime. “It’s time we took a stand and bring down these Bas****** once and for all.”

“You sure this is a good idea?” Greed questioned Edward as they knocked on the door of a butcher shop. They just drove for almost five hours, well Greed did anyway as he was the only one who could drive and that he didn’t really need sleep.

“We have to, I don’t want them to be pulled in the middle of this, we’ve lost a number of people foolishly enough as it is. Greed recalled the memory of his friends killed by the Furhur and it strengthened the idea of what Edward was about to do. The door opened and a man slightly taller than the door walked out. “Good day Sid, it’s been a while.”

“A world-wide transmutation?” Izumi muttered as she sipped her tea. Edward nodded.

“That’s why you need to get as far from here as possible, you don’t needlessly need to join the fight, we have a number of people fighting with us.”

“From what I understand, there aren’t many places we can go.” Sid looked at both boys.
“This a final fight you say, one last war to determind what the he** happens to this country right?” Izumi looked at them with a fire in her eyes, “Then I’m not running, I want in, it’s time this country got a good shaking up.”

Edward chuckled, “I was kinda hoping you said that.”
