The soldiers flooded the building noisily, orders and sightings were thrown back and forth in the din. The doctor growled angrily at the soldier that halted him from his work, it was not long before they left empty handed and complaining about another dead end.
“They are no longer with us.” The doctor kicked the cupboard behind him, the door opened slowly. Out stepped a man a least six feet tall, built with muscles, covered in blond hair and had gleaming yellow eyes.
“You did us a favour doctor, do not worry you will be paid for your troubles.” The man spoke in assured honesty. This was none other than the lion chimera that aided the alchemist team.
“Thanks doc, saved our furry behinds!” another man at six feet tall, less built than his partner, natural gray hair covered his body and green eyes laughed as he stepped out from behind a curtain.
“You guys could’ve let me handle them you know!” the precious cargo they went through all that trouble for spoke up angrily.
Blond hair combed out on his back, gold eyes and considerably shorter than his partners, Edward Elric huffed as he stood up from his hiding place with a toothpick in his mouth.
“Haha, no way, there was no way I was going through all this trouble to keep your sorry behind safe just for you get yourself revealed.” The lion chimera ‘Charles’ looked sternly at him.
“I didn’t said I wanted someone looking after me.” Edward growled back at him as he pulled bills from his pocket that ‘Ren’ the frog chimera retrieved form the back earlier to pay the doctor.
“No, you didn’t, but that white-haired alchemist friend of yours did and we officers of the state always keep our promises.” Ren spoke up as he handed the money to the doctor who took it gratefully.
“It’s time we get out of here.” Charles handed the misfit band their belongings as they carefully headed out the door, looking for any other remaining officers.
“Where to next?” Edward asked as he checked his bag for all his belongings before flinging them into the van that they ‘bought’ from the doctor and jumping in after in the back.
“That friend of yours said to head Central after.” Ren replied as Charles gunned the van.
“Hey kid, you sure about this, I mean we just got you back on your feet, you don’t want a few more days?” Charles asked before he decided to drive off.
“I’m sure, I don’t know how Storm managed it but he healed me up pretty good, I haven’t seen anything like it, I am fine, less talking let’s go.” Edward yawed as Charles gunned the van to ridiculous speeds to Central.
2 hours later………………..
“No way, by my Father.” Greed, previously Ling, the Prince of Xing sighed with his eyes wide open as he watched the van coming down the road with his ridiculously keen eyesight, it was none other than that metal alchemist, Edward his name was right? He was certain, it was that metal armour’s brother.
The idiot of homunculus did the one thing he could’ve think to do at the moment to stop the oncoming van……… step in front of it in all his pompous glory. The van screeched to a halt as it turned sideways to avoid the possible accident, the driver and front occupant eyes opened wide in surprise. The back door slammed open and before Greed could move, a fist made of metal came at his face, all he could make out was a flash of blond of hair before the blue sky came in view in all its glory. “YOU IDIOT PRINCE!”
Greed slowly pulled himself up as he rubbed his face, a blow like that to an average person would usually give then a glimpse of the world beyond but blue alchemic sparks healed the inflicted area on his face. “How many time do I have to tell you that I am not Ling, he isn’t here.”
