Being Hurt Is No Fun

Hehe, guess who couldn't sleep.

"You can't feel your legs?"

Castiel looked up at Dean, a serious look on his face. A grin replaced the seriousness.

"Just kidding."

"I fucking hate you." Dean huffed, recovering from the mild heart attack Castiel had given him. "You're lucky you're hurt or I would've beat the shit out of you for that."

"Oh, you love me." Castiel laughed.

"Yeah, I do." Dean smiled, sitting back down.

"I'm hungry," Cas complained after a moment of silence. "I want jello or something."

"Never fear, Satan's here!" Lucifer burst through the door with Michael at his heels.

"Dude, you follow him around like a puppy," Dean told his brother, who simply shrugged.

"If he wasn't Satan I'd say he's adorable and that's why I follow him," Michael muttered.

"I am adorable."

"You're literally Satan."

"So? Join the dark side Mikey, become a satanist and realize how cute and cuddly I am. Also, the dark side has muffins." Lucifer grinned. Michael rolled his eyes.

"You dork."

"Okay, enough mushy gooey shit. Take that outside or get a room." Dean complained. Castiel flicked his arm with the hand that wasn't currently in a cast.

"Oh shush." Dean stuck his tongue out at Cas. "How mature." Dean shrugged.

"Never said I was a mature person," Dean told him.

"Yeah. You got a point. Anyways, I'm still hungry. And I still have no jello." Castiel whined.

"Dammit, I forgot how you acted when you were sick or hurt." A cheery voice chirped. Gabriel, who had been doing much better since Sam stayed on his case around the clock, entered the room. "Sammy is getting me some candy." Soon enough a moose came into the room too.

"No more! No more siblings and their other half in here. It's too crowded already." Castiel mumbled with a shake of his head. Soft laughter filled the room.
A doctor came in half an hour later and stopped. By then Charlie, Adam, Alfie, Jo, and Kevin had arrived.

"Okay... That's ten more people than I expect in here." He chuckled softly.

"We kinda come as a package really. When there's one there's bound to be twenty more." Charlie told him. The doctor nodded.

"Interesting." He smiled. "Well, Castiel here should be going home in a few days. But he'll have to take it easy. He'll need to be in a wheelchair until his leg heals since his arm is broken too. Painkillers will be prescribed and you seem to have a mild concussion too so be careful of that. It'll take a while to recover, and I don't recommend driving for a while. Especially at night when there's freezing rain."

"Awesome." Lucifer smiled. "Dean, I guess you'll be helping my brother out until he heals up."

"Okay." Dean wouldn't object. It was his fault anyways. Castiel was hurt because of him, and he'd pay for it.

"Great. I can't do shit!" Castiel huffed. "Everything fun involves full use of my limbs."

"I'm sure we'll figure something out Cas."

"Yeah. You can always pass the time by making out with Dean-o." Gabriel grinned. Both Castiel and Dean flushed red. Neither had completely spoken about what had happened. Dean admitted his feelings but Castiel was still too hurt by rejection. He'd eventually talk to Dean about it. When he worked up the nerve. Until then, he was stuck with his siblings making both of them feel uncomfortable.
