Gabriel sighed and tapped his fingers impatiently. Sure, he was terrified out of his mind he had just been kidnapped by a guy who ruined his entire life. But right now he was annoyed. Annoyed that this man took him away from his moose. The boy he had fallen head over heels for. Gabriel couldn't imagine how his family and boyfriend felt, and that only pissed him off more. He glared irritably at the bag of candy he had brought with him from the store. Suddenly the car pulled to a stop and after a few minutes, the trunk opened. Gabriel squinted from the bright light."I can't tell if I'm blinded by the light or your ugly ass." Gabriel huffed. When the man came into focus he realized there was a gun aimed at his face.
"Watch yourself, boy." The man hissed. "Get out." Gabriel quickly obeyed, not in the mood for his brains to be blown out. "Scream, or make any move to tell anyone you're in trouble I won't just kill you. No, I'll kill your family and your boyfriend in front of you first. Gabriel nodded and the bonds holding his wrists were cut.
"Where are we?"
"A gas station. I didn't want you ruining my trunk by pissing in it."
"How thoughtful." Gabriel huffed eyeing his surroundings. It was dark, and it was a dimly lit gas station. Gabriel felt his pockets. Of course, my cell phone is gone. He sighed. I'll just get a new one. "Can I get more candy?"
"What? No! How stupid are you kid? I'm not your babysitter."'
"I could just be annoying. I've been told I'm really good at it." He smirked. The man rolled his eyes.
"Whatever. Get as much as you want." He growled, making Gabriel walk in front of him so there was no chance for him to escape. Gabriel made sure to get an obnoxious amount of candy. And being a skillful trickster, he managed to shoplift a small metal plate keychain, and pickpocket a phone off of a teen. Gabriel went to the bathroom and managed to, uncomfortably, conceal the items after he had relieved himself. He figured he would be searched before being stuffed back in the trunk. Just as he thought one they arrived back to the black car, the man quickly patted down Gabriel and then made sure no one was looking before stuffing Gabriel back into the trunk. He tossed the bag of candy in with him and Gabriel grinned.
"What are you so happy about?" The man snarled.
"Sorry, did you say something? I was too busy not caring about your existence. Oops." Gabriel smirked. An eye roll later the trunk was closed, but last second Gabriel jammed the key accessory in the rapidly closing opening. It was barely enough for Gabriel to squeeze a few fingers out of, but it should be enough for what he had planned. Gabriel got the phone out. "Shit." The phone had about five percent left and Gabriel wasted two of it remembering Sam's phone number.
Sam, it's Gabriel I'm in a trunk, very uncomfortable if I might say. I have a plan. I am not far away from the store, and I have candy to last years! There is just enough room for me to throw candy wrappers out... Follow them. The phone I stole is about to die. I love you. -GN
He hit send and then the phone went black. Well, time to get started on his trail of candy. "Let's Hansel and Gretel this shit." Gabriel shoved brightly colored candy out the back and waited until he could see it on the road behind the truck before dropping more. "This might just work." He prayed, something he never does, that it would work. That he would live to see the love of his life and his family again.
