The Perfect Date?

"Scarlet! Get up! You are going to be late for school! AGAIN!" My dad shakes me, trying wake me up.

"Uggh," I moan and I try to pull the covers over my head but my dad yanks them off causing me to tumble down to the floor.

"OW! Dammit dad, I'm getting up!" I slowly stand up. "Now get out! I have to change," I say angrily as I point to the door.

"Thank you, dear." He responds. Before I can say anything snarky about how to NEVER call me dear, he's out the door and heading downstairs.

"I cant believe I have to go to that damn school," I mumble under my breath while grabbing my regular clothes, a black v-neck t- shirt, a black leather jacket, a skirt with fishnet leggings, and some black biker boots.

"There that looks pretty good," I say while admiring myself in the mirror.

Then I make my way downstairs to the kitchen. When I get there my dad points to a plate with eggs, toast, and 3 pieces of bacon. I sit down and eat the food.

"Thanks, dad!" I glance up at the clock above stove and its already 7:50. I look out the window and see that Spencer is already there waiting for me. I grab my backpack and turn around.

"Okay, bye, dad" I say and he walks over to me.

"Bye, de-Scarlet" he kisses my head and then I walk to Spencers car and get in.

"Hi, baby," I say and then I lean over and kiss him.

"Hi, beautiful," he responds.

"Now hit the gas before you are late," I say buckling in.

"ME? What about YOU?" He asks.

"Well, I dont give a sh** about school, so I don't care if I'm late," I respond.

"Right, I forgot you were a 'rebel'" I playfully punch his arm.

"Hey! I am not a 'rebel' I just don't care about school." I shrug as I see him pull up to the school and drive into his usual parking spot.

"Sure you're not..." he gets out of the car and I do the same. Once I get inside the building I kiss Spencer goodbye and go to my locker, get my things, and rush to geology class.

When I get there I can already tell I am late so I knock on the door. This kid who looks really nerdy opens it. Whats his name?Caleb...Casper...Carson...no...WAIT I got it. Caelum. Yeah, he's like the head of the major geeks club...he shoots me a dirty look and lets me inside.

"Thank you," I mutter. He just quietly sighs and walks away.

"Rude," I mutter under my breath.

"Oh, Ms.Thorne! You actually decided to show up, today! Are you ever NOT late?!" Okay, what is it with teachers calling you by your last name? It's just so abnormal. I don't get it, like you don't go around calling your teachers by their first name, so don't call us by our last, like god!

"Sorry Ms.White" I answer, while looking around for a seat. The only one is next to Caelum. Sh**, I don't want to sit beside him!

"Well come on, you don't want to keep the whole class waiting all because of you!" With that I sit down next to lord of the geeks, damn!

"Um...hi..." I say awkwardly.

"Hi." he huffs. I guess I kinda take the hint not to bother him anymore.

School was over and I was just about to head home when two arms wraped around my waist.

"Guess who?" I knew it was Spencer, but I decided to play along.

"Hmm....Niall Horan?!" I guess excitedly. He laughs.

"You wish," he spins me around to face him.

"Aww, it's only you," I pout. He laughs again.

"Yup its only me, and all you will ever get, is me," he kisses me.

"So I was thinking...do you want to go for a picnic with me today?" He asks

"A picnic? Doesn't that seem a bit...I dont know...overdone?" I answer

"Well yeah, but we can make it romantic! Pleaseeee?" He gives me those oh-so-famous-puppy-dog eyes and I laugh.

"Well how can I resist now!? Sure," I respond. I was actually quite excited. Spencer and I rarely go on dates anymore so I have to look PERFECT.

"Great! I'll pick you up at 6:30." he kisses me and we both walk away eager for our romantic picnic.
